I took a break with the game tie at 2-2 after two periods. I came back to the DVR and finished. How disappointing. Score in shootout but called back. They got a point, but it is not needed. It was a good game after the first period. Just a bummer for this team at this time.

My expectations for this team this season was an improvement not a Cup challenging team but one showing a gradual improvement towards making the playoffs. I have been looking for that since Lou Lams left. Instead IMO every year has been a joke except for the fluke year they got to round one with MVP Taylor Hall only after for team regression and Hall being hurt and never returning to the same level. Nothing surprises me with the Devil's organization. It is what it is and I must accept that without frustration. If it can go wrong, it will go wrong.

I think there is something to be said about what CR is saying about the COVID effect. I also think that these new divisions don:t give a team having problems whether from COVID or lack of talent or a combination of both playing this 56 game schedule. There is no room to breath, train or get a softer team to play for a couple of days. Next up for the Devils after the Rangers today is the Bruins starting tomorrow then the Caps two days later, followed by the Islanders for 3 with a back to back then Savres. All over 11 days. Weak teams don't catch a breath, and they are weak and tired from playing plus COVID. I always forget this. Sorry for complaining about the Devils, my bad. I must remember this.
