Good game. Fun to watch apart from the first 10 minutes or so. Glad Zubie got 2 goals its just what he needed, like Chico said it would have been great if Patty could have got a goal, but hey a win is a win. You could see on his face he was trying real hard out there to get one, hopefully it will come i the next game. The Power play was crappy, apart from the last one where we had 4 shots, if ever PP was like that we would have no trouble. The PK was good apart from that lucky goal by Knuble (who always seems to score against us). 39- 14 in shots is excelent. No glaring defensive lapses, which is also a good thing, although rachunek always takes one stupid penalty per game. Lets hope we can carry this forward. Oh and Asham can throw them,thoes punches were hard, he was a beast in that fight.

Deffinatley what the team is missing. I think somwhere down the line the Penguins are going to have to shed a very tallented player. there is now way they can afford to keep all thoes players under the cap. Crosby already has his 8.7 mill. The pens will have to find money to keep Jordan Stall , Malkin , Esposito when he eventually makes the team. If anything we should wait and see what the situation is with Hossa, if he hits the market next year we should make a serious move for him, i would love to see a line of Elias/Zajac/Hossa or Elias / Zubris/ Hossa

Im glad no one claimed him. I know its not ideal for Matvi, but like Mcgillis last season he adds veteran presence to lowell's defence and he should be a good influence on our prospects down there.

I thought that Sutter might have been angry and agressive in his coaching as an act, to motivate his players into preforming. Now it seems like he just acctually takes all of this to heart, and it acctually really pains him when stuff like this happens. Then again i didnt get much sleep after i woke up and checked the result at 4.44 am.

HAHA clarkson is awsome, when cam is back i want thoes two on a line toghether, even if its only for one game, and that one game is against the Rangers. Oh the fun!!!!

Lou might have found someone to take him. Cant you send a player through waivers, then bring him back up, and then trade them to another team for half the cap hit making them more tradeable??

I was gonna post this earlier after a discusion with a guy on my team last night. They showed signs of being a good team last season towards the end of the year, i guess they just put it all toghether under hitchcock finally. Oh yeah and leClaires numbers are insane

Its a shame we dominated that game from start to finnish. If Parise didnt lose control of the puck in the shootout i think we would have gone on to win in, but there you go, he pulled the best move of the shootout, he really deserved to get the goal. Lundqvist was great, he won the game for the Rangers. The highlight of the game for me was Vishnevski hitting Gomez. Vish had a really great game, Oduya was also quite impressive. Things are looking up even though we lost.

5-4 record isnt bad considering the players lowell lost last season. Its good to see S gionta getting some goals, hopefully he can give some hints to B Gionta. Also well done Satans Hockey for the game threads, purgatory has been servelry lacking any content to mention of late.

Not the best game last night, but a win is a win. The fact that we are finally grinding them out rathere than collapsing in a period and losing the game is very encouraging. Im glad clarkson scored, i said that all he was lacking was scoring in the last game, and he finnaly got one. Its also good to see parise starting to bang them in. Elias was unlucky not to score, he was robbed by the post and Toskala. Marty was on fire, he was great to watch, the save where he stoned Ponikarovsky off a rebound was great, as was the one where he almost skated round the back of the net to catch a shot, and proceeded to go mad at one of the defence. -------------------- As for attendance, who cares, the crowd acctually sounded loud again, you never used to get that on TV feeds unless the place was packed out. When parise scored the place sounded awsome. If everyone is so worried about the attendance, email the Devils and let them know your concerned, see if they are? You guys pay money to go there, im sure they wont have a problem answering any questions or worries about the arena or the attendance. You could even try throwing some suggestions at them, since you guys have to go throught the process of getting there for each game. If people are going to complain about it on here, you might as well do it to people who have some form of influence and can do something about it.

It wasnt a direct comparison, i didnt post thoes other figures to say "look the Devils are drawing more people, hence we a better and there should be no issue these teams are in much more trouble" or anything like that, i was simply stating that, attendance on the whole isnt great anywhere (as proved by the Detroit thread, although 17,000 per night is hardly a nightmare). I was just pointing out that attendance figures are never accurate, so there is no point in getting worked up, just because a mid week game against the Lightning, on halloween, during a time when the team isnt playing well and not every seat in the house is occupied, and thinking that this means that the team is going to be out of NJ. Im sure the Vanderbeek is feeling a lot more confidant in the team and potential revenue now than any time in the past. So just go to games and enjoy the world class arena you have at your disposal. If i was in NJ i sure as hell would.

The throwing of hats before the next game is a great idea. If i had a devils hat, could get to the US, had tickets to the game, i would take part.
