CRASHER
We also try on a power play, "Pass, Shoot, Score" and during a PK. "KILL, KILL, KILL" You guys need to slow the pace on the kill chant....calm it down...it's a slow murder not a quick stab....let it flow....you're gonna get worn out when you race to yell it...take it's time....pace it with the vuvulenzas!!! devlman
He announced the cheerleaders twice yesterday. Once in the 2nd and once in the 3rd so no clue as to your gripe there. Not what I asked lol...I meant the 'cmon fans, get on your feet and make some noiisssssee, be hearrddd!' spiel he seemed to do quite often. Devil Dan 56
Hey, we did a Patrick Elias chant after the goal but it's hard to hear with the noise of the goal and then the goal announcement. Currently we try the "You Can't Do That." chant after the visiting team gets a penalty. I believe in Jersey's team is really difficult to say. Kinda of a tiring chant but people seem to like it. We also try on a power play, "Pass, Shoot, Score" and during a PK. "KILL, KILL, KILL" It's hard to be heard from the uppers and we are trying to get more sections on board with the noise level. I really think it helps the players know we love our team. Scoops PS. Not all of us are college peeps. I'm a 41 year old happy screaming nutty fan too. I work all day, drive 1hour + and stand the entire period. It's tiring but worth it. I meant none of that negatively. I think the section brings way more good than bad. I did a couple of supporter sections games last year, but I don't have the energy for a full season haha. As for the Elias chant, I meant once the noise died down. Again, just something from an outsider.
devlman
I was in the section next to them. It's definitely real fans. They seem to be mostly college aged. Sure some of the chants got repetitive but for the most part it is nice to have a section in the 100's that is loud and cheering to complement the 209 and 232 group on the other side of the arena. Thats cool. I know Satans Hockey said he couldnt commit to season tix. Great that these kids (and scoopscj!) have come in from somewhere. mvparise
I was in 109 and couldnt hear any cheering from the other side of the building u guys are talking about. I like the idea though. Its sad when im the only person yelling in about 3 sections. Also the guy in 208 starting the rangers suck whistle 3 times in about a minute and a half, just stop. You look stupid. And then when i say stop you just did it twice in less than a minute some other moron devil fan tells ME to shut up. Then procedes to yell TEDENBY SUCKS!!!(Because me and my gf have tedenby jerseys on). The fan base of this team is embarassing. No one understands the game, and more importantly no one knows how to conduct themselves at the game. Youd think our entire fan base was 12 yr olds at their first game. God forbid the rangers devils games. Im as big of a fan as they come but its embarassing to call a good majority of these other ppl devils fans. I have alot of friends that are ranger fans and when we all come to a game devs fans try and get personal with insults, even towards the girls. Especially the lowlifes in 232. Like how much of a scumbag piece of garbage can you be? You can be an avid fan and hate the other team while still realizing its a hockey game not wwIII. No matter how much you hate the opposing team you should be able to talk sh*t about the teams but in the end even when the games over, be able to be civil with them knowing the fact it was a good night out. The people getting personal and literally angry are complete idiots and its embarassing. And to the heafty fella in the zajac jersey that yelled tedenby sucks last night, please dont even consider coming to games anymore, youre a scumbag and a terrible fan. On what basis can you honestly say Tedenby sucks? I agree about the Rangers suck whistle. A few times a game isnt a big deal but a few times every 15 min...give it a break. It isnt funny anymore. I think alot of it is one person wants to look cool infront of their group, esp if it consists of girls. These are the guys that need a beer dumped over their head and their jersey pulled over their shoulders. You dont look cool....you look like an a$$hole. maxpower
I just think it's funny that 2 out of 3 games, someone has managed to puke all over the place in their seat. The crowd is... something.

The crowd is... something. Last year at a game up in the 200's this guy that was alone at the game came clearly intoxicated and kept drinking and around the the start of the second period decided to take a dive from like row 8 down over the railing of the stairs onto the sth's in the first two rows, one of which was a pregnant woman and a gentlemen holding his own beer that was just splashed over everyone around him, who I believe is a member here I just cant remember who it is. It really does blow your mind sometimes the people that show up to the arena and the way they act. These are peoples children, parents, co-workers and bosses. Unbelievable. Side Note: I have been trying to bring back the Kill chant since pre-season. Havent been to a game this regular season yet. Anyone chanting it during the PK and everytime the pucks cleared its followed by a cheer and applause? estreetcrew3
the 3:30 chant is inaccurate. We have 3 cups in 29 season, this is the 30th season so potentially we can have a 4th (fingers crossed)

Sometimes you really have to wonder about some of the idiots. But at the same time I was screaming all game and thought our crowd was definitely loud for 12k considering we have some games where you can hear a pin drop in a sellout. Vic Rattlehead18
I would love if 122 would start doing a chant for the "hero of the game". Like if his name is henry gonzalez, "thank you hen-ry" ala lets go devils.

You probably would've been better off had you not tried to tell the guy to stop doing the whistle. Do we have some moron fans? Absolutely. But once you start calling people out, you're asking for trouble. And then next thing you know, we have Devils fans arguing with each other. More often than not, it's not worth it. Scoopscj
The 122 section is in its infancy. We are learning and trying to add some much needed excitement into the arena. For some of those low attendance games, I'd love for some excitable people to sort of wander into our section and cheer with us. We bunch up so there is plenty of room. I can't vouch for the more popular games but if some peeps want to get involved and are of SOUND MIND, please stop by. I've been to 2 of the 3 home games in the 122 and the people I've met are great. The guy said he refuses to let opposing fans into the building kindly. Thats classless. He obviously doesnt know how to conduct himself around fans from other teams. Part of the reason why a significant amount of devs fans make us one of the worst fan bases in the league and it show. We have some very good fans out there but we also have the same amount of lowlife fans who dont even understand the game and how to act at a hockey game. I don't know any that don't. Hell, I can name two others in close proximity that are worse. One problem with the fingers being pointed at Devils fans lie the ages of the fanbase. The Devils are percieved as having a younger fanbase influenced by the team's success at a young age and growing into ticket buying adults. With "young adults", you're going to get a certain kind of behavior (not limited to hockey games) and when you mix it with alcohol, it becomes an issue.
