Chimaira_Devil_#9
I am a fan of David Booth, i think Vancouver wins this one, not sure why Florida does this?
Quinn01
Samuelsson is a 40 point scorer. Thats not a bad grab for the Nucks.
justdo3043
this read helped make some sense out of the deal "If you're looking for Dale Tallon logic here, consider this: Booth was someone else's cornerstone, someone else's building block. Booth, and his long-term deal, simply weren't in the plans. (He had a no-trade clause that kicked in next summer, per George Richards.) For a team that added so much payroll so quickly, clearing out these contracts made fiscal, if not hockey, sense." My link

titleofusername98
I think Vancouver wins this one. Marco Sturm hasn't done much for the canucks.
ghdi
Vancouver easily wins this. Its rather lopsided.
njdevsftw
Clearly a financially motivated move by Florida.
Triumph
Booth's contract is pretty bad, but Samuelsson and Sturm are awful. This feels like a move designed to clear out Booth before he's untradeable. Meanwhile the Canucks can theoretically pump up Booth and then deal him. It's interesting that a player like Booth, who's in his prime, being dealt for 2 players who aren't, this is a 'go for it now' deal, because it's hard to know what Booth actually is. thefiestygoat
A lot of talk around twitter that Vancouver may be involved in another move... http://twitter.com/#!/SunGarrioch/status/128212459164147713 "Canucks GM Mike Gillis is working the phones pretty hard. Wondering what the issue is there?"
Guest BelieveinBrodeur
Booth will be great in Van and guessing Florida wants Sams Defense along side Jov
