I wasn't trying to degrade him by any means or make anyone believe I think less of him. I would love to see his number retired, I'll say that, it's just given what our team stands for makes me think otherwise. Patty is a devils LEGEND...but that's about it. I don't think people 20 years from now who are not devils fans will remember him like they would Marty, Stevens or Nieds. I would love to be proven wrong, but it's just my opinion, we're all entitled to one. I'm not trying to stir the pot on here. This makes no sense...at all. I mean no part of what you just said is true except for when you say it's your opinion. Daneyko's number retirement was all situational. There wouldnt be a chance in hell he gets his number retired in an original 6 market or Philly. But Devils fans know that he was an integral part in establishing a winning team in NJ For this - I'll go with this: oh i don't agree with that. a 20 year lifer with 3 championships and a fan favorite? he'd get his number retired for any team including the habs. I was at La Cage au Sport (sport restaurant/bar) and when we had the lead I kept myself silent in case we would loose the game. But When Montreal got the lead everybody was laughing at me, pointing at my jersey. I was saying, don't celebrate that quick... Devils are dominating this game just as last week. They could score quickly... AND BOOM Clarkson scored hahahaha AWESOME All of them suddenly shut their mouths and strangely all my friends stoped to text me... haha LOVE THIS TEAM !
