I'm loving this, the Sharks look really good. I've seen them make some really nice plays, they play like Veterans in 20 something year old bodies. The way they move the puck around. This is a great wake up for Av fans, I can tell you that out here in Denver, there was already talk of planning the Stanley Cup parade after they beat a lazy Dallas team (I'm not joking!). San Jose is fast, hungry and playing great hockey and I LOVE IT! Shove to those moronic idiots!

A few thoughts on the games:

-Yzerman showed why he's a great leader

-Lidstrom had a great game

-Flames were too undisciplined

-Donovan's goal was nice

-Iginla's fight against Hatcher was great (what a player)

-Marleau is becoming not only a great player but a great leader

-Cheechoo's goal was amazing (wow)

-The Sharks are a hungry bunch

-gotta love Teemu Selanne as a "healthy scratch"

Glorious! A bunch of hungry kids beating a bunch of pampered snotty babies! Keep it up! I've always liked San Jose as my third favorite team, but now I am really starting to like them. HP Pavalion seems like a great place to watch a hockey game.

Hey E-Devil ... thought about you today as I took the hogback through Boulder to Lyons!

Couldn't agree more with you on your assessment of both the Aves and the Sharks! And didn't their (Sharks) former GM, that Lombardi character once spend a couple of weeks with Lou Lamms, getting pointers on how to develope the SJ franchise?

Had to also love Emrick calling the Sharks win/Dives defeat, eh?

The officiating in the Calgary/Detriot was embarrasing, so many non calls on wings players that were then called on the flames, and the 2nd half of the 3rd period was just laughable. Crap like that is why the NHL cant be taken seriously. Its entirely obvious how much the officials played favorites today.

Glad to see you back Littleton, I guess watching the Avs get snot kicked brings all of the non Colorado natives together. The Divealanche.com assessment of game 1 is friggin hilarious.

Oh yeah, I now work in Littleton for the time being. Everyone at work was gloating about beating Dallas and talking about how this was the year the Stanley Cup was coming to Colorado. I mentioned San Jose is a very fast and hungry team. They are an upgrade of the Minnesota team that beat the avs last year. I was basically ignored and now I love how San Jose is throwing the Avs back against the wall.

I've been very fortunate to catch about 3-4 games at the Tank. I've also seen home games for the Islanders (back in the '80's), Rangers, Bruins (The Garden), Devils (duh), 'Lanche, and Canucks. Let me tell you, the Tank is *the* best place of all of 'em to catch a game. No laid back NorCal attitude there. It's bright, clean, and very and friendly.
