That group with Old Man Greene and and Fayne thrown in...yeah, it won't happen, but still.

Hopefully Lou is proactive with signing him. He CAN'T let him go.

Worth noting that I think Kelowna is a better team now than they were at any point during those guys' run.  Kelowna only scored 185 goals in Weber's last year there according to hockeydb - they have 246 so far this year.

Taking that into account, only Seabrook is ahead of Severson, and its close. Either way, I think he's a good bet to be an NHLer for awhile. How good he'll be is the obvious question mark

Yikes, getting pretty ugly for Anthony lately.  That Q record-setting shutout streak was fun while it lasted.  At least he'll have that until it's broken.

According to Mark Divver of The Providence Journal, Miles Wood has decommitted from Brown.

https://twitter.com/MarkDivver/status/435469182927261696

"Two tough breaks for @BrownMensHockey as '96 NTDP goalie Blake Weyrick and '95 NJ Devils draft pick & Nobles F Miles Wood decommit"

https://twitter.com/MarkDivver/status/435471069697155072

"Issue with Weyrick was financial aid. With Wood, grades not Ivy caliber."

Perhaps grades were an issue or he wanted to go to a more well known hockey school like BC or BU. The Boston College Hockey Blog seems to really want him. Still no update on his current stats which is a bit frustrating.

Is that actually the case, or is it just a fan blog suggesting it?

Still, if they're comparing him to Hannifin (different positions I know, but you get the point) who is supposed to be awesome, maybe we've got something,

Ahh you're right, reading is not my friend today.

Even if that blog is run my fans, it's great to get any kind of intel on Wood. I think there have literally been like 2 updates on him because you have to pay for high school stats.

Corey Pronman tweet about Ben Johnson tonight. "Ben Johnson (NJD) has had an impressive game. One of better skaters in the OHL. Contributing at both ends."

Good to see we possibly have two of the best overaged skaters in the CHL with Black and Johnson, that seem to play two way games. Should be interesting to see how they transition into the AHL.

While forward draft picks haven't been amazing, it's good to see Conte and crew going after a few low-risk, high-reward picks. Not only have we drafted two quick forwards, but two of the better shooters out of the CHL recently, Boucher and Bell. Throw in some interesting two-way guys and we could be able to stock the bottom-6. Literally, building from the net out. Only thing that will need to get addressed is top-6, in my opinion.

Don't forget Myles Bell, who I believe is also a little older. I'm interested to see how he transitions to Albany as well.
