NJDevils1214
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m36sqi7iFWs A little Cammalleri Highlight for you! That wrist shot at 1:40 is just nasty. He is a pure shooter. Also good
peteyvegas51
A little small for my taste but a good scorer. That's what we need. Good signing.
Z-Man
I feel bad for lou. if he doesnt make a move, people will criticize him here. if he makes a move, people criticize the contract. if he signs someones that everyone on the board wants, people will complain he paid too much to get him Why feel bad? Lou's been a ridiculously successful GM for over 25 years with the same team. He doesn't care what a bunch of jack-offs on a message board think. Devils Pride 26
Warming up to the signing. First few years look alright, but it could end ugly. At the moment the offense he provides is very much needed, and with an inexpensive defense this is a move we can afford. What comes now though? 11 top 9 forwards. StarDew
He scores in shootouts!! Nice.
Zubie#8
Good possession player to boot. I expect big things from him Zajac and Jagr.
jim777
Its not the player I hate its the years. 5 bloody years!!! Same here. Would have rather had Pouliot honestly, but it is what it is.
losdiablos103
LOVE the signing, but don't like the 5 years, either. If he can produce, it'll be fine.
Marshall
Disliked this signing a bit intitially, but given some other deals and what goals cost ya...I'm cool with it.
Chimaira_Devil_#9
He scores in shootouts!! Nice. And now he has instantly become my favourite signing!! Does Havlat perform in the shootout as well?
moustic
Not wearing the number 13 for him will be so weird...
Bobby Perham
He wore 93 for a short period at one point I believe too.
msweet
Lou on the length of the contract (and a reference to Elias) "Quite frankly, all the players are getting paid too much and all the contracts are too long," general manager Lou Lamoriello said. "But if you want to compete in this market and you want to win, there are some things you have to do. You have to pick the right people and that's the case here. "He takes care of himself and he's a well-conditioned player. We're going too be losing a couple player in a couple years and he can still play. He just turned 32 in June." http://www.nj.com/devils/index.ssf/2014/07/devils_get_their_man_in_mike_cammalleri_but_was_5-year_25_million_deal_too_much.html

Triumph
Good highlight but we know who Cammalleri is, it's not really the point. the guy posted a nice highlight video, thanks for sh!tting on stuff. Cammalleri's most common linemates over the last 5 years, in order of most ice time to least: Plekanec, A. Kostitsyn, Mi. Backlund, B. Gionta, Gomez, Stempniak, Tanguay, Iginla Hasn't played with a ton of good players, really.

redruM
he was going to get 5 years from some where, this is part of the game, if you want a top six forward you need to goto 5 years. I'd rather Statsny but he was not coming here so I'm ok w/ this
cgb6397
Don't understand all the bitching, even initially. Take the rest of the contracts that were given, this is a pretty good one. Cammalleri is going to do very well, he's a pure scorer and he can score in a lot more ways than he's given credit for, especially at this point in his career. Paired with Zajac I see him scoring 30 easily.
Derlique
The Devils' main problem on offense last year was the lack of shots/chances created. On a terrible Calgary team, Cammalleri averaged over 3 shots a game and was one of their best possession players. Sure he's pretty one dimensional, but he has an elite shot and won't have to do the dirty work with Zajac and Jagr on his line. Money is fine, its just that extra year or two, but it really isn't a big deal. This move makes the Devils better for sure

In terms of quality/deal, Cammalleri contract > Dave Bolland's Deryk Engelland's Kyle Quincey's Brooks Orpik's Brian Gionta's Matt Moulson's Dan Boyle's Benoit Pouliot's

Well id put plekanec about the same as zajac and iginla and those guys are equal or close to what we have in NJ... With a possession beast like jagr tho. Could be good
