Apparently the entire 2014 draft class is expected to attend as are the CHL players. Always tough to tell if the NCAA prospects will get a chance so we'll have to wait and see. Probably won't know the full roster till the 13th but a few names have trickled in for the undrafted invitees: F Matt Lorito (Brown) (Source) LW/C Ross Mauermann (Providence) (Source) D Tyler Wood (Brown) (Source) C/RW Ryan Rosenthal (Coquitlam – Northeastern recruit) (Source) LW Nick Saracino (Providence) (Source) C/RW Jayden Hart (Prince Albert) (Source) RW Eric Faille (University of Moncton) (Source) (hat tip to caron14 for pointing this out) C Matt Needham (Kamloops) (Source) I'll write up more on these guys when it's not close to 5 AM. Last year the Devils invited G Jake Hildebrand (Michigan State) whose had a solid NCAA career and G Brandon Hope (Owen Sound). Hildebrand was invited to the Penguins camp July 15-21 but it seems like he’s on campus this summer and won’t attend any NHL prospect camp. He's a potential UDFA to keep an eye out for next spring. Still I imagine they'll find another goalie or two to invite. I also wonder if they'll invite guys like C Brady Vail (Windsor) or C Austin Czarnik (Miami). D Nolan Zajac (Denver) will be at the Jets camp July 7-11 so I doubt to see him in the Devils camp. While I like Lou a lot and will miss him if and when he retires I really won't mis his treatment of turning the practice rink into Area 51 when it's in use by the team. I hope they give us some video, always interesting to see some of the guys (even if it is usually endless chaos - still I'd be curious to see Graham Black and Ben Johnson, plus the 2014 draftees). A bit older (he'll be entering his age 23 season) but in 3 years of NCAA action he has 114 GP 65-42-107 for 0.94 Pts/GP. Averaged 3.67 SH/GP last year. I'm sure he'll get some interest this spring by some NHL organizations. I've been trying to search for more invitees to this camp but his name is nowhere to be found (yet). One guy we can add to the list is C Matt Needham who just finished his age 18 season for Kamloops in the WHL. (Source) He has 180 GP 39-70-109 for 0.61 Pts/GP. 24 of his points came at EV last year with a great 75% point share. We'll probably know the full roster in a few hours but I'm going to try to get a quick post together on the guys we know of, unless I end up falling asleep doing it.
