What do you think of Scarlett and the way he's been playing? Does he have a shot at getting a call up to NJ anytime soon and do you think he has a decent shot at becoming a regular in the next year or two? He's certainly been producing points at a high rate.

I haven't seen enough of him to have a solid opinion on him. Back in his draft year, Future Considerations called him a future bottom pairing defensive D and praised his awareness and mobility. Judging by his basic AHL stats he does seem to have some skill. Not sure how much of that will translate to the NHL but I think he'll eventually get a shot to be a complimentary piece at least. Still just 21 which is encouraging.

It would definitely be nice to have another one or two of our defense prospects pan out as legitimate options at the NHL level. Having another couple young guys on the back end would give us a lot of flexibility to trade one of them for some help on offense.

Does anyone know how to find a list/articles of undrafted college players  in '15? (available after the season/tournaments)

I don't know where to find a central list but College Hockey Inc's stats have filters so you can sort by free agents, class, and position. For example, here is this year's JR/SR forwards that are free agents and here are the JR/SR defensemen.

Looks like top five fw's:

Daniel Campini-Union

Evan Roriguez-BU

Cody Wydo-Robert Morris (attended Devils prospect camp a couple years back)

Matt grabowski- RIT

Tanner Kero-Mich Tech

Wonder if Devils are entertaining anyone of these?

Went to see Norfolk Admirals play Worchester Sharks Sat night. Admirals got smoked but Oh how the mighty have fallen, Watching Danny Heatley painful, Jason LaBarbera played pretty well, and a player (first rounder) I  I thought would be a nice trade chip for Ducks Emerson Etem has serious wheels but his line mates couldn't keep up. I didn't know one of the Sharks players.

Also, with Ducks moving to left coast, and an ECHL coming here (Norfolk),  there's no other teams in close proximity. They're going to be spending a lot of time on buses. Reading PA (6 hrs), So. Carolina (7 hrs away)

I think everyone saw the Heatley experiment failing as it has. He got, what, 6 games with Anaheim?

It's too bad you guys couldn't get Richmond back in the ECHL, or, even though it's allegedly worse hockey, ended up with a SPHL team.

That was a great rivalry back in the day/ I remember the chant- a loud "64 West" (route back home) for Richmond fans having the 1.5 hr drive back. And there were 7-8 K in the building.  John Brophy loved physical hockey. Lot's of scraps.
