2ELIAS6
That was a mess of a game, but those things happen a few times over the course of a season. However, our PK is atrocious and needs to get fixed NOW! Also, Clemmer is just bad and there is no way we can start him in a game outside of the few we have against Buffalo and Carolina at this point. We'll see how they respond on next game. That will be more telling to me than the way this one turned out. i thought we would have been much better of with kinkaid as the back up.. but i guess they didnt want him to be sitting around that long with out playing. Biggie B
I have my fingers crossed that we can somehow land Byfuglien! Not sure Byufglien is the answer to our defensive woes....or any team's defensive woes for that matter...

PWW
A little perspective - last year sometime in October Sharks beat Rags 9:2 with 4 goals by Hertl. Did it really matter in April? As I recall, they lost so bad and were so embarrassed that Biron hung them up not long after. Bryce, looking at you to follow suit. HOLLYWOOD
A little perspective - last year sometime in October Sharks beat Rags 9:2 with 4 goals by Hertl. Did it really matter in April? I hope you are aware, Rangers goaltender Marty Biron that gave up that infamous 'Hertl between the legs' goal was released 6 days later in a career ending farewell. Mike Babcock said it best tonight during the 2nd period of the Caps-Red Wings, " NBC Tortoise, "I know you've coach a lot of games against Barry Trotz when he was in Nashville, is this the kind of game you were expecting?" Babcock, "Oh for sure... They went out and spent some money on their back end this summer, so... it makes you way faster. When your back end can move the puck, that's the game today. Everybody on your team looks quick, and they're quick tonight,"
William D'Aquila
Devils are heading in the right direction then as everyone outside of Salvador can do that consistently.
CarpathianForest
Devils are heading in the right direction then as everyone outside of Salvador can do that consistently. Our D has a lot more problems, namely their defense and a shaky starting goalie.

Yes, but the forward s are too slow. The opposing D has no worries standing up at the blueline. They are too slow in retrieving the chip ins. If this D was on the Cup run squad it would have been Cup #4. The league is skating at unprecedented speed now. Each year progresses, which is why a guy like Larsson looks worse only 700 + days later.
William D'Aquila
Our lack of speed at the forward position has been an issue in 1 game. It won't make or break the Devils season by any means.

If they're this slow now wait until mid-season
