BostonNala370
In the off-season I read that the Devils hired a person to analysis games using numbers. Today DeBoer said that the coaching keep their own numbers and do their own evaluations of the numbers. When he was asked about the Devils guy that is doing the numbers he said that was for Lou. Does that make sense to be using two sets of numbers for the same team? I know nothing about reading the numbers.
sundstrom
as Lou described it when TG asked, Sunny Mehta's hire was just more data points for the team to use. In the end, I truly believe Lou calls just about every shot there is except when the game is going on. The numbers that the coaches use are exactly what Lou gives them and that can be have none, some, or all of Sunny's conclusions baked in. Is it Lou making the decision that it's tootoo in for brunner? I'm not sure one way or another on that but i'm sure he's very much in on it. Jerzey
Did Lou hire Sunny or was it the owners? I thought it was the owners. I know they said they'd leave the hockey operations all to Lou but I can't see them being too happy if he's refusing to use someone they hired to help. But numbers I don't understand like Corsi etc aren't they what this talk is about?
