At least they got Kershaw out of the game...I wonder whether Jacob can handle a long delay at 100+ though?

They did what they wanted to do...drove his pitch count up and got him out of the game fairly early.

Wright with two huge ABs tonight...the 12-pitch walk, and the two-run single. Gotta give credit where it's due.

Good for Wright. It's nice to see him come through like that in a big spot.

Truly, I just wish it didn't feel like a shock when it happens...

And probably a bit unfairly, this start for Kershaw will be another chapter in the "Kershaw doesn't get it done in the playoffs" novel...

I haven't seen deGrom shake tda off at all this game.

He actually got STRONGER as this game went on. What a performance.

Certainly one of the handful of best Met postseason pitching performances.  I don't really know game-by-game how the '69 and '73 Mets pitched in the postseason, I just remember Leiter's game against Cinci and Bobby Jones' one hitter against the Giants as dominant postseason performances.

Here comes Clip...can't lie, I like him, but right now he scares me a little...

Ojeda Game 2 @ Houston in 1986 (down 1)

Ojeda Game 3 @ Boston in 1986. (down 2)

Cone Game 6 @ LA in 1988. (down 1 elimination game)

A few great Mets post season pitching outings with huge pressure.

He settled a little but he was still amped. Not that this one is over but tomorrow will be the test with Thor. He needs to be relaxed. Greinke is going to be even tougher for us though...

Reed has clearly been better than Clip as of late...but TC seems to be locked into "this guy has to pitch this inning"...
