OK...at least TC isn't letting game rest with Clippard.

 

No although I'd rather have not let it get to the point where they just get a dunker and boom they remove the veneer of invincibility around Familia.  Still can't complain about the two K's after the leadoff double, that was about the best I could have expected from Clippard there.

Well, tomorrow is another day. We got deGrom...let's see this team respond. Nothing about this Royals starting pitching worries me.

This team hasnt had a gut punch im a while. I suppose we were due. But got damn. Two outs to go and Familia lets up a HR. Karma was...it just feels like the Benitez blown save in 2000

Benitez got nickel and dimed to death though, this was more like the Scoscia HR in '88 to me.  And what made it so shocking was just how easily Familia got his first two outs and got the next two after the HR.  He only needed 13 pitches to get through 1.1 innings, unfortunately only twelve were good.


Hmmph, not a bad inning from a guy that's barely pitched in the last month.
