capo
Oy, stop swinging for the fences every pitch! It's so ridiculous... it's not like we 40 hr guys 1-8. Their approach is asanine. Oh well, it'll be something to build on the NL isn't very scary.
Colorado Rockies 1976
Hopefully, at the very least, the Wilpons start letting Sandy work with more of a budget. Seven home playoff games and a rocking building...I'd like to believe they'd start doing what they have to, to try to make that happen for a few more years. NJDevs4978
Oh dear god my pregame prediction may fully come to pass now I really don't get why the Royals don't just run every single play on Travis.
capo
The Royals play the game the right way and they have the right guys to do it.
Colorado Rockies 1976
God Travis' throws just suck right now. Looking like the Royals are primed to put the Mets out of their misery very shortly. And fvck you Doofus. May we never have to witness your reverse Midas touch ever again. Colorado Rockies 1976
The Royals play the game the right way and they have the right guys to do it. They are clearly the better team, with strengths that directly expose the Mets' weaknesses. The funny thing is I wouldn't be happy if Sandy and the Wilpons just brought back Cespedes and Murphy and did some minor tweaking. This team needs to get better defensively and needs to stop being a whiff factory.
capo
The Mets just don't execute the little things. They try a pick off play and the pitcher throws it way off to the opposite side of the bag. Colon's throw yesterday was a little off but Murphy was so over committed he can't catch the ball.
NJDevs4978
I must be the only one that thinks Harvey will pitch well, but that's only cause he's on his normal rest and because it won't matter anyway since Volquez will shut down the Mets, I'd put money down on seven innings and one or fewer runs for Volquez with Cespedes taking another sombrero. It'll probably be like 2-1 after 7 and Reed'll be the one to give up some sh!t like a three-run HR to Moustakas to annoy me even more and that'll be it I shoulda put money on this sh!t...only instead of a bomb it was two dink hits. Colorado Rockies 1976
And that's game. No way the Mets come back in their half of the inning. They were dead as soon as the game was tied.

Colorado Rockies 1976
As much fun as this year was, more and more I think this current group was a one-year wonder. I'm all for Cespedes, Murph, and Clippard being allowed to walk with no fight whatsoever.
Colorado Rockies 1976
And TC, YOU'RE the fvcking manager. YOU call the shots. Harvey doesn't. Bye Daniel. Bye Yoenis. Bye Tyler. Plus he's never on the field. My worst fear for this series is that it would be 2000 all over again and sure enough.
Colorado Rockies 1976
Here's to getting to sleep at a normal time. Congrats to the Royals...not the most likable team in the world, but they have guts to spare and never quit. Mets could use some of that (though they did have some fight in them throughout the 2015 season).
NJDevs4978
And even Colon gets hit around now to rub our noses in it further.

NJDevs4978
I really want to turn this off but they at least deserve me watching the final outs. I'm just glad I didn't talk myself into going tonight when prices dropped into the high $300's on StubHub.

I've never been a huge fan of is to begin with, but now he's reached to point of no return. He belongs on non-contending teams. He could have a decent career as that kind of player, but he has to be finished here. I give d'Arnaud one more year to prove he can get through a full season healthy. The only problem with that is if he doesn't you don't get anything for him. They have plawecki and we really don't know what he's going to be... Id like a solid veteran catcher for these pitchers. capo
The Mets could of had Zobrist at so many points this year. You have to wonder how that one stings Sandy. Colorado Rockies 1976
It was fun talking Mets baseball with all of the Mets fans on this thread this year...and I truly mean that. Just hope it's not 2030 by the time the Mets get to another Series.
