GDT: 2015 NHL Draft Lottery- 8PM, NBC

Criminal that Edmonton gets another #1. I think they should have a rule that rules you out of the #1 pick if you have had 2 or more #1's in the past five years.

Lets all take a moment to be thankful it was Edmonton and not the Flyers.

This. I'm just glad Philly didn't get him and he wound up out west.

If you think Edmonton is going to continue to suck you're out of your friggin mind. That's why drafts are set up the way that they are the so bad teams get the top young blood which allows them to turn it around. Edmonton is in a position where they can make a Lindros type trade or move one of their other number 1 picks to solidify other holes.

Yeah McDavid isn't going to be 'ruined', he's too good. He'll be a star there, just as he would've been a star if he wound up in Toronto or Buffalo. With Edmonton getting McDavid, and with their defensive deficiencies, we should be having some dialogue with them about what it would take to acquire one of their young forwards.

I am feeling lou trades the pick

Which would be horrible given the status of the team.

First off, in Edmonton taxes will eat a lot of his salary. Plus it is probably the worst city in the NHL to live.

Just depressing on so many levels.

Question is - would you trade 6 for Taylor hall or RNH? I would not.

I'd certainly consider it... If I'm moving #6, I'd prefer RNH over Hall though. Edited by MadDog2020

Absolutely.

I don't think the 6th overall will be as good as Hall, both immediately and in the future.

RNH though, maybe not.

There should be a limit as to how many times you can pick 1st overall in a decade it's getting ridiculous

Well if McDavid has any sense of wanting a great career he'd tell them to trade him or he'll never play for them.

why is this the question? Is Edmonton looking to unload hall or RNH? If so they'd get much better offers than just that pick straight up.

‏@reporterchris:

After 5-14-6 were picked, the #leafs had the highest chance of getting McDavid heading to last ball: TOR (4x), BUF (3x), EDM (2x) CAR, CBJ.

Lmfao. fvck you Toronto.

Just saw that Buff GM was disappointed for the Buff fans. Yeah, the same fans that cheered at home games when the other team scored? A little cruel justice for those fans.
