Hate that gossip bullsh!t network fronting a sports network Semin being bought out. If I'm GM, and lord knows we're glad I'm not, I'm making a pitch. Sure, could end up being Kovy 2.0, but hey, could come cheap since he's going to get a pretty hefty payout from the Canes
Chimaira_Devil_#9
Had no idea that Semin was 31 years old. That might put Shero off when making any potential offer. Given their philosophy on age.

Fair point, but he could also sign him and move him at the deadline if we're not competitive, just like everyone is suggesting we do for MSL. William D'Aquila
1. Semin 2. Frolik 3. Oduya Cammy Zajac Semin Henrique Elias Palimeri Ruutu Jo Frolik Tootoo Gionta Matteau
jagknife
1. Semin 2. Frolik 3. Oduya Cammy Zajac Semin Henrique Elias Palimeri Ruutu Jo Frolik Tootoo Gionta Matteau I think Oduya would have to last past tomorrow in order for us to think about him. Especially with how Shero has been leaning towards not getting a vet defender, at least not to start. But, I agree, I'd rather take Oduya than Martin EDIT: holy sh!t, we agree again... maybe I do have a concussion from last week.... MadDog2020
Boston just traded Martin Jones to SJ. The madness continues in Beantown...
dmann422
1. Semin 2. Frolik 3. Oduya Cammy Zajac Semin Henrique Elias Palimeri Ruutu Jo Frolik Tootoo Gionta Matteau all three of these guys will be overpaid. I mean if we can get them for cheap sure but its not gonna happen. Oduya will probably get in the 5 mil range for 4-5 years. No thanks. Semin and Frolik are the best wingers on the market now so they will both get some team to make a dumb, long term offer. Devilsfan118
No reason to not to a flyer on Semin. Worst case, he fails like Ryder and we bury him or move him, if possible. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

However, no charges filed yet. Not to speculate and everyone is SUPPOSEDLY innocent until proven guitly(lol/farce/burp), but it's either the LA Kings office using a Richards incident to rid the huge cost of his contract, or something very bad. Either way it doesn't make any sense, since Richards hasn't been charge with anything and has a hell of a greviance, backed by the NHLPA. Just look at what the Kings management is doing right now: Jarret Stoll was busted and charged for felony possession of Coke/Ecstacy in Las Vegas in April(now charges negotiated down to 2 misdemeanors) and Salva Voynov's charges of domestic violence... both are still on the Kings roster. The Voynov example you used is a good one though, lotta questions there
DJ Eco
Semin for a max of $4m, for a max of 3 years. That'd be my take it or leave it offer. We'll see in the next few days or weeks how doable that is. Could go either way, the market for Semin after the year he just had could go a mil or a year or two higher (depending on the foolishness of the GM) or could be about that. We'll see. But at that contract, he'd be worth it, and in a position we sorely need depth in (depth of any kind; even "not what he used to be" depth). We really don't have too many options at RW, so it wouldn't be taking away any rookies' spots, unless Matteau or Boucher were thinking of switching wings. Derek21
I put up a new post. Lots covered including Semin and Boyes waived for buyouts. The Bruins fiasco. Martin Jones trade to Sharks. And this year's HHOF class which again excludes Lindros. NHL News and Notes

ghdi
If Boyes was bought out I wouldn't mind seeing if we could sign him on the cheap. He's got one year left and was waived. If we get Boyes, they'd just pick him off the waiver wire. Edited June 30, 2015 by ghdi
Triumph
He's got one year left and was waived. If we get Boyes, they'd just pick him off the waiver wire. It's for the purposes of a buyout. He'll be bought out.
dmann422
Hedberg out in NJ, he is heading to San Jose. Oduya will not get 5 million lol. I could see Frolik, getting a healthy bump, but Semin will not be overpaid. i will bet Oduya gets at least 4.5 per... Take a look at what Orpik was paid last year. Frolik is a solid player but I'm wary of long term FA deals. You'd have to think he'll want at least 5 years and 5 million per. Teams will get into a bidding war with Semin, there is no chance 1 year will get it done, unless he has his heart set on a specific destination. For him to come to the Devils we'd have to add a year or $$$ to beat other offers. Probably something like $4 million for 3 years... To me that is overpaid Edited June 30, 2015 by dmann422
