BostonNala370 80
I check in every other day to read what the Toronto fans think about Lou. What the fans in Toronto forget or don't realize is Lou doesn't have the power in Toronto that he did in NJ. Shannon has him under his thumb. Lou won't dictate beards or no beards or no social media etc. Shannon made a great move getting ,while is was washed up,to get Lou to help his replacement Dubas. What will Lou do for his son and Comte? Probably nothing, he knows.
Colorado Rockies 1976 6,784
I'm not following him much myself...whatever moves he makes will get reported. I'm far more interested in what Shero's up to.
Devilsfan118 3,004
I check on Lou in Toronto like I do on Parise in Minnesota - that is to say, not at all. No disrespect to him, but he's not with us anymore so what he does is of very little interest to me unless it somehow impacts the Devils. Right, unless it involves trading for Gionta or sending us JVR, what's to follow?
Satans Hockey 3,700
Don't care at all, I'll watch some Toronto games throughout the year but I normally do that anyway because of game center and center ice. I hate the Leafs and their fans so there is no shot of me rooting for them during the season.
roomtemp 125
In the way I used to follow the Leafs. Hope they suck so I can laugh at the fanbase's delusions
Devils Pride 26 302
I am intrigued on how it works. Hope he does well. Wonder how much of The System © will be implemented
vadvlfan 207
I won't follow M. Leafs any more than any other team. I don't think Lou will have any impact one way or the other until his contract is up, and he'll probably retire. Team is run by committee there. Want to bet Steve Bernier get a PTO w/ Toronto? eldon 101
Don't care about Toronto.
Marshall 404
I follow a bunch of Leafs fans/bloggers on twitter so I kind of get that without trying.
slasher72 440
Nah...I'm focused on Shero and the Devils. Lou and his "rules" are history.
themightyall 9
The Maple Leafs easily became a team that I want to see succeed because of Lou. I never paid attention to them before but now I'll definitely want the second best for them. Obviously the Devils are first and foremost but that doesn't change that the team I rooted for my whole life were the embodiment of the guy running the Leafs now. With all the support he has for picking players so he can focus on culture, Toronto is definitely on the fast track to contenders.
SterioDesign 3,292
its gonna be hard to gauge who really makes a different in Toronto cause so many people got there at the same time at the same time. The biggest impact will be Babcock IMO
Microwavepizza 9
I follow a few teams decently closely after the Devils, the Leafs are not one of those, but I do like to read news for every team. Lou will not change that just because its Lou
DevsMan84 2,366
Honestly, I really don't care what he does in Toronto for the most part. I mean I still respect Lou and all, just not interested beyond what I read in the reports.

The biggest impact will be Babcock IMO In fairness, you could say the same about Shero. And with most new GMs coming aboard, there's often a lot of personnel changes...usually starting with the coaching staff. It's so early there to know who's going to make the biggest impact, but Babcock is definitely a nice start for them. Devil Dan 56 2,377
I think Lou may be in for a rude awakening in Toronto. I'm not sure just how much control he will have, but his rules may be too much of a culture shock.

I'm not sure just how much control he will have, but his rules may be too much of a culture shock. That's exactly what that organization needs, a complete change in culture. Other than printing money, they have done nothing else very well over the past 30 years.
sammyk 71
The Leafs are my wife's team so I'm usually up to date on what's going on anyway.

thefiestygoat 136
I follow a bunch of Leafs fans/bloggers on twitter so I kind of get that without trying. Same here. Sometimes it seems my timeline has more Leafs tweets in it than Devils.

MadDog2020 8,877
Speaking of Lou/Toronto, here's a quick read with Marty, who talks about Lou leaving, among other things: http://www.nhl.com/ice/m_news.htm?id=776838
Pepperkorn 107
I'm with Marty. It's not the Devils - it's like any other team. I don't expect any continuity ever again. Shero and his band will be ousted in 5 years so it's nothing personal against him. Wait -- I stand corrected - Philly has always been loaded with dirt bags and actively encouraged borderline cases to the dirt bag side. Rangers have always gotten completely confused by the concept of celebrity in the city. No one gets NYC is what it is. The more normal you are the stronger you are - if you try to be or worse yet really believe you're special you'll sink before you start. and Maple Leafs are just... losers we'll see if that changes. Good on Shannahan for trying.
Zubie#8 193
Yes just lets make the worst possible assumptions about a front management who has been in charge for only a few months and who is making one good decision after the other.
