thecoffeecake
Protect that crease Mac!There's a right and wrong way to do it. Guess which one that was. This guys been so good though looking at some of these posts. I wonder if he's realistically Cory's successor. Maybe if he came into his own while Corys still in his prime, we can probably send Cory off for a nice package, if we're not competing. Lateralous
I'm watching today's Sarnia game and Zacha has a goal and an assist thru 1. Between his goal tonight and the second goal of his two last night, he can really get off a quick shot in traffic. Glad we sent him back for another year of development in the OHL but I cant wait to see him in Newark next year. I've been pretty disappointed with Jacobs in the Sting games I've watched but he's been pretty good so far today.
Lateralous
Zacha added 2 third period assists on consecutive PP goals for his second straight 4 point game in a 5-4 Sarnia win. I'm sure he will grow out of it but man is he undisciplined when he gets frustrated. He took two more penalties tonight, the second of which was a needless roughing penalty that could have been costly since it led to a PP goal for Ottawa after they battled back from a 3-0 deficit. He could have easily had a few other roughing/slashing penalties as well.

His IQ has been called into question. Since you've seen him play probably more than anyone, what do you think?
Lateralous
His IQ has been called into question. Since you've seen him play probably more than anyone, what do you think?I think he gets a bad rap because he hasn't put up a ton of assists yet but I think that honestly has more to do with the players he plays with. In a few of the earlier games I watched, he could easily have been credited with several assists if someone else could bury the puck. I think Sarnias second leading scorer is the young defenseman Chychrun who is supposed to be a top 3 pick this year and then 2 forwards that play on a different line than Zacha. They just added a kid named Mistele (sp?) that should help with the scoring issues. He burried two today. All that being said, I do see Zacha as probably developing into more of a winger. He's at his best off the rush flying down the wing IMO. Edit: for anyone that doesn't know, the OHL has an app similar to NHLs gamecenter. It's pretty expensive but it does allow you to buy single games or a 5 or 10 game package where you don't have to pick the games in advance. I bought a 10 game pack and just watch games whenever I have the time. Just keep in mind that the big names will be disappearing from their teams soon for the world junior camps and tournament Edited December 6, 2015 by Lateralous

Triumph
Sadly now that CHLstats is no more we can't easily check Zacha's shot stats but it seems like he's still shooting 20% or so. 17 goals in 23 games is the kind of performance I expected out of him. If he continues on this pace they will not likely send him back to junior next year.
