Really?  If someone could provide some video of the Boston College v. Harvard game, I'd love to see some of the young guys on BC like Santini and Wood.

Wood is looking great, Zacha and Speers are looking great, Jacobs is starting to fill out his game, I've read that Santini is really developing the offensive side of his game.  I think after drafting another forward in the first round this year we can start looking at re-upping the defenseman stockpike again.

Is there anyone else were missing?  So good to see these prospects produce.

I would add Blackwood into that group.  I watched Wood and BC play the last 2 games.  He is a really big guy that has speed like Kreider.  He was out in the last minute to protect a 1 goal lead and ended up staking an interference penalty, but the fact that he was trusted by BC's coach to be on the ice in that situation is a good thing.  Really impressed by his play.

Hopefully Wood, Santini and Jacobs get signed when their seasons are over.  I believe all three can be free agents after next season.  I also imagine that Zacha and Quenneville might get a game or two with the Devils if Sarnia/Brandon loses their series.  At least it gives us something to interesting to watch in what will be meaningless games.

Am I correct that any of them can play for Albany in the AHL playoffs, or did they have to be on the Albany roster at some point in the year to be eligible.

I think so. That's why some of our players were "sent to Albany" for a weekend, right before the roster deadline. Junior players can play for NHL teams if their season is over but not minor league playoffs.

I could be wrong though, but that's my understanding as well.

No, that's not correct.  Any player added now is eligible for the AHL playoffs.  It's players who already had NHL contracts and were in the NHL that have to be on the AHL roster on Clear Day to be eligible for the AHL playoffs.  So anyone the Devils would sign would be eligible, plus any of the Devils' players whose CHL seasons are over.

Interesting that he said that the Devils owned Jacobs rights for 4 years, although this is the last year that he's eligible for junior.  I thought I read somewhere that he would be a free agent after next year.

Otherwise, I may be reading too much into it, but the fact that Fitzgerald was making a point to talk so highly of Wood leads me to believe that there will be a major effort to get him signed once BC's season ends this year.

Stuck at work tonight and decided to stream audio for the Sarnia game instead of the Devils.   Zacha had a big game with 1 goal and 3 assists to help Sarnia get back into their series with Sault St Marie sans Travis konecny who was out with a UBI.  Jacobs has an assist as well and Speers had one of SSM's 2 goals,  Announcers pointed out multiple times that 4 Devils prospects are playing in this series.

Zacha was 1st star.

Friday 4/1
OHL Quarterfinals
Western Conference
#5 Windsor lost to #4 Kitchener 5-2 (Lose Series 4-1)
Connor Chatham RW: E, 1 Shot

-- Regular Season: 64 GP 17-24-41, 90 PIM, -12, 9.09 SH%, 2.92 SH/GP
-- Playoff Stats: 5 GP 0-1-1, 0 PIM, +1, 1.60 SH/GP
-- Not that I expected that much out of him, but this was a pretty underwhelming season. Sure the drama in Flint and a less featured role in Windsor didn't help. He is a RW so it will be interesting to see if NJ signs him.

Western Conference
#B3 Kamloops lost to #B2 Kelowna 4-0 (Trail Series 3-2)
Ryan Rehill D: E

Maybe they think Chatham will turn into that elusive "next Milan Lucic."

Ryan Rehill seems to have quietly had a very good year, even for an overager.
