DevsMan84
Hahahaha. I am guessing a 2-way contract?

titans04
love the guy but this has to be about bringing him is for his locker room presence in Albany. Not sure he's even got the talent to play regularly in the AHL at this point although odds are the team isn't any good so I doubt he has a hard time getting ice.. Heart of a lion but damn. vadvlfan
I guess Hynesy pleaded with Shero. Waste of a signing imo
Triumph
It's for the minor leagues. Can't imagine Leblond makes the roster, it's been more than 5 years since he was an NHL regular.

sokar
So would this mean Joseph Blandisi may have a chance to make the team on opening day
RizzMB30
Are you kidding me? Pierre-Luc Leblond? He's pretty much the next era of CamJan. I can't believe this guy is even on Shero's radar.

I'd love for him to get in a few games next year and for John MacLean to start his part of the broadcast by holding up $10,000 and saying 'Pierre, here's what you cost me, I won't ever forget it'

Joe B
before I look? He an ex Penguin? I'm guessing 75 - 25 he was. Yes he was. Still shouldn't see the ice for that stupid instigator when the team was short handed few years ago. Doesn't matter how good of a fighter you are, you just have to know when it is needed(that was definitely not the time). Yes it is needed at times, yes you can't be a liability on the ice. PL3 didn't do either well. Maybe there will be some deboer - clarkson magic and Hynes gets PL3 3 goals. Wouldn't shock me a this point, already in shock and have no idea how this season will play out. Edited September 8, 2015 by Joe B
devils102
I'd expect he'd be in the minors for the season and called up only if the team wants him to fight. I don't mind it at this moment, but we'll see how he's used.

CarpathianForest
When I read the thread title I was hoping there was another player out there with the nickname PL3
Marshall
I love the double-up on a guy that's a re-tread for both Lou and Shero.

Devil Dan 56
I saw this and assumed someone had bumped a really old thread. I'm thinking it's just AHL muscle with a rare call up here or there
mfitz804
I will admit, I always like the guys who are brought in for punching faces. But, in today's NHL, you need a guy who can do that and still play the game. PL3 will likely not see the Prudential Center this year, I'm thinking Albany will be his home for the year. Honestly, it's not even punching faces anymore. It's just twirling in circles, hugging a guy until one of you falls down on the other. Some of the sluggers in Coorslight's link being exceptions.
Devilsfan118
Gotta have these types of players for the AHL franchise to protect the young'ns, IMO. I attended quite a few Phantoms games this past season (the new PPL center in the Lehigh Valley is pretty sweet) and I gotta say, the whole "honor code" NHL players speak of seems a lot less prevalent in the AHL. I think you need these types of players to punch those Rinaldo-types into line. ThreeCups
My everlasting memory of PL3; I was in attendance at The Rock that night and was going crazy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyUPgwB30MI EDIT: Not sure if they ever crossed paths again before this; but here is another PL3 vs Janssen round.....this time in the A! 5 years and a month after the first epic one! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cohQkofjB_A Edited September 10, 2015 by ThreeCups
