DevsMan84
That's game. Why do these coaches insist on putting Gionta on the PK?

NJDevils1214
It's so much more frustrating to watch them lose in this fashion. And fvck Torts.

NJDevils1214
That was mega lame. This is exactly why people are always saying you can't let teams hang around. All those chances and no goals to show for it, all it took was one bounce to see the whole game go in the sh!tter.
Mike Brown
Such a frustrating loss! Nothing wrong with the effort except maybe the first 10 minutes of the 2nd period, but gotta find that killer instinct. Get ready for Philly on Thursday, and shake it off. devils102
That sucked. Devils were maybe a bit too cute. Making plays instead of just shooting it and getting to the net. The Jackets did a good job of collapsing in on the goalie (classic Torts). We can take solace in the fact that if the Jackets play like that going forward they will get crunched. sundstrom
what's funny is this is the best the devils have looked this year - a very entertaining game - just not the results. but this is what you get with hard working guys that don't have the ability to finish consistently. Satans Hockey
Anyone know what the fight was about in section 4 during the third period? Haven't seen one of those in awhile.
Triumph
I expect a lot of repeats of tonight throughout this season, except that normally teams aren't as bad as Columbus. Devils' defense is so far way stronger than I expected it to be.
Marshall
I expect a lot of repeats of tonight throughout this season, except that normally teams aren't as bad as Columbus. Devils' defense is so far way stronger than I expected it to be. This thread pertains somewhat to the Devils strong team defense (and weak offense): https://twitter.com/Sportlogiq/status/659093105430437889 Edited October 28, 2015 by Marshall

adavid
I thought they looked good most of the night except for their passing. It always seemed to be a bit off. Edited October 28, 2015 by NCDevsFan
BostonNala370
Lets give credit to CBJ goalie Bobrovsky for his best game this season. The first goal was the delay of moving the puck in the corner while alone by Schlemko. The 2nd and 3rd goals were all a result of Gionta being too slow and small. Why does he play for the Devils? When we get back to full strength can we get rid of Gionta and Ruutu. Ruutu has done nothing since Lou signed him. 10 total goals for that period of time. Enough with the both of them. DJ Eco
Not sure what to make of that game. 8 or 9 times out of 10, Devils come out with a win in this one. This was that 1 where we lose. We did many things right and Columbus were AWFUL!!!!!! They celebrated the first goal like an OT Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals because of how awful they knew they were playing beforehand. adavid
I can't for the life of me see what value Stephen Gionta brings to this team He was trying for another 5 min major with his stick spearing. Luckily it was feeble. What's up with that.
Derlique
This looked exactly like a DeBoer loss from the 2013 lockout season. Dominate the game in terms of shot attempts. Give up a goal against the run of play and boom. To CBJ's credit they totally took over after they made it 1-
EdgeControl
Severson continues to show a little too much recklessness with the puck and poor situational awareness. Terrible giveaway to lead to the Moore penalty. yup, If that was gelanis making that pass this board would have erupted. that was pee wee like and as bad as gellys board backhander.
