Mike Brown
Biggest problem with this team right now is getting the puck to the net from the points. I would think hard about getting somebody like Barrie from Colorado. Shots: 21-18 Devils Corsi: 38-35 Devils High Danger Scoring Chances: 7-5 Devils Scoring Chances: 22-19 Devils

Derek21
Eh. The Ducks are the most boring team in the league. They got a lead and trapped. Ironically, the second most boring team might be the Pens.
BostonNala370
It really bothers me to post this but Elias has been terrible since his return. I like him a lot and had hoped he would bring some scoring when he came back but not there.
Colorado Rockies 1976
No scoring depth is really starting to rear its ugly head. I didn't think Elias would provide much, but I was hoping to be wrong on that one.

He got 11 minutes last night. The coaching staff isn't blind here.
coldply123
Elias is on his retirement tour. Anyone expecting anything out of him this year wasn't thinking clearly. Come on now. The team just isn't built well enough and deep enough at forward. We knew that coming in this year and we're seeing it show up a bit more now. They will still give some good games the rest of the year but I do think some stretches like this are going to be the norm. People need to let Shero get another offseason to shed some of the remaining age (Elias, Ruutu) with younger skill forwards and upgrade the low level line depth (Tootoo, Gionta). Don't get me wrong - I came into this season expecting them to be terrible and they have been a nice surprise - up until last night, I'd say they'd played better and a more interesting brand of hockey to watch in any loss than any game last year win or lose. And Shero and Hynes have plenty of leash with me - like 3-4 years of leash including this one.

I donot think there was a shot from wither team the 1st 8 minutes of the 3rd period!! Devs are at a cross roads right now for this season, the last 5 games have been mostly dreadful, no life, they seem to lose 90% of face offs, way too many shots are blocked, lazy passes out of the d zone leading to terrible turnovers... Not sure what Hynes can do to change things up but this team needs an injection of life. I'd like to see Farnham & Matteau back in the lineup, see if that helps at all... Call in some reinforcements after the holiday freeze. Find out about Boucher in January. They don't have much skill after the top 5-6. I think Gionta has outlived his usefulness, Tootoo & Ruutu are garbage. I like josephson, but its time for him to step up, all that talent and no production,
redruM
Sorry I meant sislo please gionta is a waste and ruutu has played 5 games and you are going to tell me he is one of our better bottom 6? what makes him so good his high salary? he takes up a roster spot that 1 of the kids could use, Matteau needs to play and time to find out if any of the Albany kids will survive in the NHL, Ruutu & gionta are the past, if they are part of the future than the future is not good...
