Honestly, that's one of the best performances I've seen from a goalie. Give the Vezina to Schneider. He's doing this by himself without a top defenseman either. Schneider does so much more than Holtby or even Luongo, who are on better teams. What we saw was the difference between two teams. And it starts behind the bench. AV not changing his McDonagh-Girardi tandem when Danny G isn't a good match for Devs' speed. Watches Blandisi blow by him and then old Hankles gives up a softy. In the old days, if they got a 2-1 lead, game over. The defense is no longer lockdown. Can't protect leads. And the goalie is no longer the same. AV went with his "match-up" and got burned. Also had Glass out despite him getting skated around. Vigneault is just too stubborn. I wish they could fire him now. But it'll have to wait until next year. Never adjusts. Also, funny how that dumb challenge cost him his timeout. He couldn't use it to rest his guys late. Clueless. Devils did it with special teams. 2 power play goals off 2 horrible penalties. And both came late which says plenty about the NYR PK. The Devils win because they put out great effort under the General Hynes. They won't give up.
