Colorado Rockies 1976
Good for Noah. Was worried about him having a tough first.
Colorado Rockies 1976
Well, the bottom of the first went about as I thought. Guess they're going to be very aggressive against Bum.
'7'
Ugh. You cannot just hack at everything and get Bumgarner out of the first at only 7 pitches (unless they are planning on having Madbum throw a 95 pitch complete game shutout)
'7'
Not loving this ump Thor...may not last long today. They foul off a lot. And the ump is pro Giants
Colorado Rockies 1976
Reasonable pitch count for Noah after two. Total opposite of what I was expecting. Yeah, Mets gotta make Bum work a little.
Colorado Rockies 1976
Jesus...another 7-pitch inning for Bum.
Colorado Rockies 1976
15 up, 15 down...duel absolutely living up to its billing.
'7'
Bumgarner is going to finish this game if they dont stop acting like idiots and hacking at damn near everything I hate when the Mets lapse into these "OMG 3 RUN HR EVERY PITCH" habits. '7'
Of course a first pitch DP by dumbfvck Loney who should not be starting.
Colorado Rockies 1976
Three seven-pitch innings? fvcking REALLY?!
'7'
That's game. We wont score a run
'7'
How the hell are they taking this idiotic approach? Is this Kevin Longs doing?
Colorado Rockies 1976
At least Noah is matching zeroes so far. But yeah, Mets often look feeble against good arms. This is no surprise through three.
Colorado Rockies 1976
Wow...Giants looked like they got fvcked on that one. Pence got screwed, but the second pitch (called a ball) looked like a strike. Edited October 6, 2016 by Colorado Rockies 1976
NJDevs4978
Thor's almost surpassed the number of pitches MadBum is on pace for through nine innings
'7'
Reyes at least had a respectable AB. His 5 pitches were the most any Met hitter saw all night so far. Have to say Span was safe, but you cant overturn that. Nothing super conclusive
Colorado Rockies 1976
Just now, '7' said: Reyes at least had a respectable AB. His 5 pitches were the most any Met hitter saw all night so far. Was actually seven. Actually looking like a "normal" inning this time. '7'
So this is essentially Bumgarners first inning after a 3 inning soft toss warm up.
'7'
Ugh. Ceapedes fooled badly. But the AB's are better. They are reading Bumgarner better this time around.
Colorado Rockies 1976
They needed to make Bum throw some pitches. Some good ABs this inning.
'7'
28 pitches that inning. Grandy hit it hard but. Just a fly ball I have a bit of hope. Ready for it to be snuffed out
capo
Can't get mad at em for the first 3 innings. They were showing they were going up there taking their cuts just didn't get any to fall in. Which just set the stage for that inning. They needed to let Bumgarner know that they were going up there to so something. It's on Thor now. '7'
No hits allowed yet by Thor so I'm sure the first will be a HR
Colorado Rockies 1976
Well Noah has definitely held up his end and then some. Time for some of the Mets' very unclutch offense to do something.
