CommonDreads 1,465
Well, really hope the Devils are going after a defenseman now. As good as Hall is, this leaves a big hole on our defense.
sundstrom 726
you have to do it. that said, i'm bummed it's larsson. hope the devils didn't throw anything else in.
caron14 51
Love Taylor Hall but to be honest, love Larsson a lot....
Jerzey 711
I'll get over losing Larsson. Hall and Henrique reunited is great news. Let's just hope Santini can fill in Larsson's skates sometime soon.
CarpathianForest 454
I'm trying to watch Police Academy then this happens!
SterioDesign 3,302
to be honest i was always more impress by Severson than Larsson and i always looooved Hall. So i'm really happy now. His speed is going to fit quite well with our new style
Devilsfan118 3,030
Holy sh!t. Holy sh!t. Holy sh!t. I need to step back and evaluate this before I post anything else.
Triumph 1,415
This can't be one for one. How is that possible? What a huge win for NJ.
DevsMan84 2,367
Sucks that it's Larsson but got to give to get. Out of all the players that were available from Edmonton outside of McDavid, Hall was the best followed by Draitsatl and RNH.

Jerzey 711
If this means Severson being reunited with Greene then that's like the icing on the cake for this deal. Of course he could still be trade bait if the rumors of him and Hynes not getting along are true.
DevsMan84 2,367
If it's one for one, then I agree with Triumph. This is a win for NJ.

thecoffeecake 397
I posted (in the wrong thread) that I was worried it would be Larsson. I can't believe they traded him.

I don't think he's that much better than Henrique.
Triumph 1,415
You make this trade all day if you're NJ. Hall is a legitimate star. Larsson is what he is, a shutdown defender.
Chimaira_Devil_#9 847
I know I am in the minority but I am slightly disappointed.
vadvlfan 207
I'm bummed it's Lars! I guess it had to be him. It be Hall makes a lil more palletable.

TheMazz 43
I must be the only one who feels gutted. We just lost the future of our franchise for a one dimensional winger with attitude issues. This isn't like giving up Odyua for Kory.

With every season that passed, while a good player, Larsson was looking more and more like a piece of the puzzle than a cornerstone of our future.

If we'd be talking about Doughty or Pietrangelo i'd agree but were talking about Larsson who didnt have the greatest shot, speed, offensive instinct in general... for a former first overall pick who's only 24 years old. Plus we have Schneider in the back. Total no brainer for me
Ralliart90 132
Well... We lost a good defender for a good shooter... We need offense... But we need defense.... We need someone who can be a aggressive defender... But we need a aggressive attacker. I just don't know what to think.
