you know he was hoping for a one way. He, like JJ, have to prove something, and this is the perfect year to show they belong permanently.  Who know's they might both have breakout years?

Big year for him.  He'll only be in his age 23 season, but it feels like it needs to start happening for him.  As in make the team, stay up here, and stay reasonably healthy.  And produce.

I feel like there is something wrong between the Devils management including the coach and Boucher. It took a long time to sign him. What was he making last season, not sure?Isn't this his 3rd year and he only got $715,000 with a two way contract.? He must prove himself but he should have gotten a NHL only contract if management and coaching was impressed with his play last season.

What do you think?

Hasn't even played s full year's worth of games in those 3 years. If he can't keep from getting demoted, he doesn't deserve a one way NHL deal.

He seriously buffed up last year - hope he can finally put it all together this year.

I think he made some strides, it's very hard to remember a player besides Josefson who has stuck but not figured some part of his game out.  There's no reason we should see Boucher rounding out the top 9 or finding himself higher in the lineup.  He didn't look out of place in the top 6 towards the end of last year but scoring still needs to be there, but for a fourth round project, he's has much more general offensive upside than Yayo ever did.
