We have a winning record against a tough slate of teams to open the season. Tampa and Florida are 2 early season front runners, and we've played them FIVE times already.

Calm your bitch tits.

Meanwhile we haven't won a game on the road. That winning record will be ancient history in a couple weeks. Shero fvcked this team up for sure.

Bottom line: This team just stinks.Like I predicted, the loss of Larsson has hurt us more than the addition of Hall. But this downward spiral started way before that when we let Bernier and Carter walk. Not trying to get Stempniak back over the summer was dumb too.

Really? Letting go Ryan Carter and Steve fvcking Bernier was the downward spiral of this team? Give me a break, I'm not even sure if half of this post is serious

Straight up they stunk tonight after the 1st period, you're gonna have nights like these, but like others have pointed out it's been a tough schedule to start the season, and I'm fine with where they are in the standings considering that after the first 10 games. Just gotta regroup and grab two points in Carolina tomorrow.

I can't tell if you're trolling or actually just really fvcking stupid.

Like you used to be "edgy" here, which I thought was really lame, but hey everyone needs their thing I guess.

But now you're just... Annoying. And looking somehow less intelligent than before.

Tough loss.  Definitely a misleading final score, and we really only lost due to bad breaks and Bishop was a wall tonight.  Don't be discouraged Devils fans, this was actually an encouraging game despite the score.

EVEN STRENGTH

  • CF%: 51.55% (50 to 47)
  • FF%: 53.95% (41 to 35)
  • SF%: 53.45% (31 to 27)
  • SCF%: 57.58% (19 to 14)
  • HDCF%: 68.75% (11 to 5)

Dude, the Devils got destroyed. The possession only looks good because of the last 5 minutes where we dominated

No it wasn't, it was like a sharp stick in the anus.

This game is a good example of how some stats don't mean anything.

Devils had the better chances throughout the whole game.  It was really just a 10 minute stretch in the 2nd period where the Lightning outplayed the Devils.  The stats aren't what I'm basing my opinion from, I watched the game too.  Bishop played great, and the Lightning scored 2 goals off of deflections.

Truly going to be one of those "even keel" years, where you can't get too optimistic when the record starts to look pretty good, and too down when it starts looking meh, because that's probably where this team will be most of the year.

Even though I'm in Florida (Fort Lauderdale) at the moment (fly back today), my cable in my condo isn't hooked up yet, so I didn't get to see either game.  Can't say I'm that surprised by the results, but I definitely don't think this is the beginning of some extended slump.

Severson with nine points in 10 games...can't say I ever dreamed that was coming.  Damn.

Used the extra hour this weekend to watch this game on DVR - eesh.  Devils had their chances, but there are definitely some defensive issues, and some of the penalties that were taken were real bad.  Zacha struggled on the breakout again; even as he had some great ones, there were also some real disasters.

I mean, i thought we really went down hill when Hedberg left. But I guess it could be Carter and Bernier that did it.
