Big game tonight.  Chance to go on another three game winning streak.  Toronto isn't amazing this year, but they're definitely better than years past.  Need to try to use home ice to get a nice W.

Wonder who's in net given it's a back to back games.  Gotta imagine Kink gets one given how he played last week.

Any changes to the lineup tonight? Is Santini in?

Let's Go Devils.

Let's Go Devils.

Per the Devils twitter, Cory gets the start tonight

Per AG, Gazdic will be the healthy scratch if Lappin can play (he's expected to).

Greene's 350-game iron man streak comes to an end per Gross, Ryan, etc.  Helgeson taking his place.

10-7 Devils.

He had an outside shot at 1000 GP as an NHLer...maybe he still gets there, but I get the feeling that age and decline will stop him well short.  At any rate, he currently ranks 6th on the Devils all-time regular season GP list for defensemen, with 680...and if he stays relatively healthy, he'll pass Bruce Driver (702) and Colin White (743) by the end of next season.  He has a long way to go to catch Niedermayer (892), Stevens (956), and especially Daneyko (1283).

His career is pretty amazing in the fact at how unassuming he is.  He is not particularly outstanding in any one area, but he plays a very well-rounded game with few to no major flaws.  It's still amazing how he hasn't been selected to any of the Team USA teams when lesser defensemen have been selected to go.

I remember when he first broke into the league he was a bit of an up and down player.  His first season where he played about half the games was in 06-07, so he has been in the NHL for about 10 years now.  However, he didn't become a full regular until about the 09-10 season. and he was 27 years old.  A late bloomer for sure but even if he never wins a cup with the team (looking like he won't), I would say down the line he might be a nominee for the Ring of Honor once they go through the cup-winning Devils list.

I'd like to take this moment to remind you that the Devils are 2-0-0 in their last 2 games, for a winning percentage of 1.00 or (100%). Should they continue this streak for an entire calendar year, it is mathematically impossible for them to not WIN THE STANLEY CUP!

WOOOOOOOOOO GO DEVILS

WOOOOOOOOO
