MrBreeze
New Jersey has assigned D Steven Santini to Binghamton (AHL). New Jersey has recalled F John Quenneville from Binghamton, he has been assigned number 47. In addition, the club has assigned F Jimmy Hayes to @BingDevils on a conditioning stint.
MadDog2020
That's fine. I'd rather Santini play than sit in the press box. Looking forward to seeing what Quenneville can do.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
CommonDreads
Cool, get Santini some playing time and see what Q can do on a 3rd line role with maybe Zajac and Noesen? Honestly wouldn't be surprised to see Quenneville on the powerplay, he has the shot for it

I mean that's probably where he goes unless they put him on the 4th line with Boyle and Stafford, because we're not breaking up the Hall-Nico-Bratt line or the Wood-Zacha-Palmieri line, nor would I want them to Edited February 2, 2018 by CommonDreads
mfitz804
This move makes sense.
Jersey Sure
Last night exposed the issue of 7D/11F. While given the choices at forward, yeah I'd rather not have had Jimmy Hayes in there and have the xtra D. But on the other hand, you run into a forward getting a 5 minute penalty, and then 2 more in the box and you have Stefan Noessen playing almost 17 minutes. That's too many for a bottom 6 player. So John Q hopefully makes the most of his chance. I'm assuming he's going to be on Zajac's left wing, it may be turn out ok. He does have a nice shot, so it would be sweet if Quenneville can come in and contribute. Edited February 2, 2018 by Jersey Sure
mfitz804
Maybe Quenneville will elevate Zajac's play. Perhaps someone could.
Mike Brown
Good. Santini has not been good at all. Although he had a much better December, he still needs more polishing. Hayes should just be waived. My one concern for Quenneville is who will be coming out? The only guy I hope he plays for is Coleman.

devlman
Happy being able to see the Q. I think he's going to be a solid player so long as he's nowhere near Zajac.

With the Defense all playing well Im not sure who, If I had to guess I would say Muller or Lovejoy but both are playing well.

Neb00rs
Based on his play in the AHL, I see no reason to be that excited about Quenneville coming up. I'm okay with being called a debbie downer for that too. Edited February 2, 2018 by Neb00rs

I guess we can have Mueller and Lovejoy rotating in and out for the 3rd pairing RD job. Hall - Hischier - Bratt Wood - Zacha - Palmieri Quenneville - Zajac - Noesen Coleman - Boyle - Stafford Those should be the lines.
CommonDreads
It helps to have someone like Butcher who can play both sides in a situation like we have on defense now, we're not handcuffed to having Lovejoy in now because if they want to rotate in Mueller for Lovejoy, Butcher can just shift to the right side.
