You’re wrong, though. 0.5 P/G puts him fifth on the team, and he didn’t have the benefit of playing next to (or on the powerplay with) Hall for any of that production.

Are you kidding me? Close to Grabner-Esque? You’re out of your mind.

Dunno, maybe it's just me, but he felt invisible this year.  Injuries notwithstanding.

He did. And he mostly was. Averaging 0.5 PPG in 29 games isn't some great feat. He had a couple good games, a couple ok games, and a bunch of times he didn't do anything.

I think some people are seriously overestimating what Johansson brings to the table (or brought to the table this year while healthy).

same, and now rustier than a sh!t sitting in the bowl for a week.

Desperate times always bring heightened expectations even if they might not be realistic.

Really hoping to be pleasantly surprised tonight but also fear Stamkos waking up at some point.

He’s actually leading the Bolts with 6 points...

Maybe so, he gets assists cause of their PP (in fact, all 4 of his assists were on the PP). But his only two goals were Vats' own goal and an empty netter. Other than that he hasn't had any big scoring chances that I can remember. He's usually all over the ice.

100% with you on this one.  I was excited when we got him, but feel like there was next to nothing to show for that signing.  Not quite Grabner-esque , but close.

It's really hard to get a read on Johansson going strictly by the numbers, because he was just never able to stay in the lineup for a truly extended period...it's the same reason why it took Palms a while to really get locked in.  As far as MoJo goes, I think you throw out this season and hope that he can stay healthy next year, and then we'll be able to better judge what he can bring.

Exactly. Even when he came back the first time, you don't know what kind of lingering effects he had going on. And you can't judge him now, playing playoff hockey after missing 30+ games.

Although, to judge him now, I would say he was better/sharper than I expected he would be. I remember at least one really nice pass to Zacha that Zacha totally flubbed.

I thought it looked like Mojo was just getting going when he ended up out the second time. That one one timer goal he had on the circle during a PP is memorable and those were the same goals Bratt was scoring at the beginning of the year. There is a ton of promise once consistency is built up a bit more. The team was rarely healthy at the same time this season.

Yes, that was nice too. He exceeded my expectations.

I we all realize that we have experienced something very special this season. I have witnessed father's and mothers bonding with their children. Girl and boy friends. Husband and wives and friends just having a wholesome good time at Devil games. Thanks Devs.

Wood on the fourth line hasn’t been talked about but is ideal for this series. He can do Wood things, like running around and not be relied upon to score, and not having poise with the puck. Mojo is definitely a better distributor for Zacha and Maroon. If we can fix start going even on special teams, we’re going to be in good shape.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Stafford pops one in on the PP, he does a good job staying ready in the slot. Mojo on the right half board on the second PP sets Stafford up as a righty perfectly. I’m starting to think Stafford doesn’t get put in without Mojo being back. That said, we lose a killer in Grabner. But the only problem on the kill has been primarily defense. Perhaps the logic is “we can’t stop this PP, lets screw it and load up ours.”

The start time for Game 5 on Saturday has been announced; the game will begin at 3 PM ET and be televised on either NBC or NBCSN.

Devils hockey will not be on the Golf Channel on Saturday.

Devils are doing a viewing party in the arena for game 5 but of course it just had to be in the 3pm slot. The Red Bulls play at home at 3:30pm. So damn annoying. Might wait and see what happens tonight first but damn it would have been perfect if one of these games was at 7pm.
