We can all whine and cry about the Devils not bringing in big ticket FA’s like other rivals, but the fact that the Devils are building one of the strongest minor league systens is far more valuable than bringing in big time FA’s.

As Aaron Rodgers famously said............

R-E-L-A-X

The problem is that our prospect pool isn’t as good as you think.  Right now, I think it has two surefire quality NHLers, Anderson and Smith.  Some other guys might surprise us, or more importantly, might be well thought of by a team that’s looking to trade a player we want.  We’ll see.

Time will tell.

My point is that these kids could be used as trade chips also.

The fact that Shero was able to pull off the Grabner and Maroon deals at the deadline tells me he thinks he has a strong farm system with the arrow pointed firmly up.

I think the interesting thing about at least the Grabner trade was Shero’s comment that he got a glimpse of what at least one team thought of various prospects, meaning that the Rangers were asking about other prospects before settling on a Rykov.

I have no interest in anyone other than deHann, now. Any significant addition needs to be via trade, and that sucks.

The metro is getting better and we’re getting worse (I am assuming Maroon is signing in st Louis). Long offseason to go, but so far not so good.

It seems like someone says this every summer or around every trade deadline. The fact is the Devils are actually the team in the Metro that got better all these years.

People need to relax!!

But what/who would we have to trade?

Anyone but Hall & Nico? It would probably take one of them to bring back Panirin though. And fvck that.

Sucks JVR went back to Philly. Those fvcks sure will score some goals. If they ever find a goalie the rest of the league is in trouble.

You wouldn’t be interested in James Neal?

I think Dehann/Ian Cole (either) nice addition. Other than that disappointed in JVR going back to sh>thole Philly.  Wonder if philly is motivated to trade Simmons now?

Winnipeg just made a bunch of cap clearing moves. He’s not leaving.

I just saw it posted that Stasney is headed to Vegas.   Did the Jets just drop the ball clearing cap space before they actually has Stasney?  Armia is a decent player

I'm starting to think maroon won't sign here. and I am ok with that.

Last thing we need is to get in a bidding war over a 3rd liner.

Go figure. Winnipeg having the same problems we are attracting free agents, apparently.

I will never understand how people would want to play at msg, yet hesitate to sign all the way here in nj.

Same, exact same thing I was thinking.

It's probably just the idea of playing literally in the middle of NYC vs. Newark.  Living in the city vs. traveling to it.
