NJDfan1711
Does anyone know if all other team's camps are broadcast online and/or open to the public? I realize it's been open to the public for a while (maybe forever), and also that it was online last year too (and maybe before that), but I guess for some reason this year it struck me, perhaps because we were competitive last year and made the playoffs, that perhaps it's not the best idea to have your camp available for the rest of the league to see? There might not be any real secrets or hidden things going on during them, but still, while watching some of it I kind of felt like it would be wrong for other teams to be watching what drills we are having our guys do, how we're preparing them and evaluating them, etc.

I love it though, I think it's great advertising/publicity/marketing and a great way for the fans to connect with the team. If I were still local I'd definitely try to attend a time or two.

DevsMan84
Maybe it is me but I find development camp boring. It is nice for the Devils to show more of what goes on behind the scenes for those that do care (and I acknowledge there are a lot of those who do), but seeing pictures of players listening to what is basically a work presentation is not riveting. Also, regarding the comments from Morreale from camp yesterday; no surprise that our top prospects are doing well against guys who will be bagging groceries this time next year. Big shocker there. I mean, it's not the most interesting thing in the world to me either - it is what it is, a nice little thing to fill the void during the summer months when there's essentially nothing else hockey/Devils related going on. I had it on for literally a minute or two yesterday while in between a few things and it was cool to check out. As I said earlier, if I was nearby and didn't have anything else going on during the day, I'd probably check out one of them.

Yesterday was just the 3-on-3 scrimmage for those who RSVP'd and Saturday is a scrimmage for STH's. That's all that is open to see in person. I have my expo on Saturday anyways, so that is keeping me interested instead.

Like I said before, seeing pictures and videos of the players sitting in a room staring at a PowerPoint presentation is not exactly riveting stuff (at least to me). It reminds me of work actually because....it is exactly what I sometimes do at work.

No that's not at all what I'm referring to... the stuff on FB Live, at least that I saw anyway, was the actual practice/scrimmage/drills. I didn't, nor would I, watch anyone in an office staring at a Powerpoint presentation lol. Like you, I have to do that on occasion for work as well, and it's hard enough having to do it for my own job, let alone watch someone else do it for theirs. Hopefully you can keep the stallion in the corral unlike Quennville.
