AHL Devils Vs Calgary

Wow he just started moving.

Frolik was not blameless, but it certainly was not intentional.

Looked more like Mueller's foot went crooked underneath him and he went face first into the boards under his own momentum.

Yup, it was more himself than Frolik, he wasn’t pushed into the boards. Hope he’s ok.

Well the bad news is we’re getting completely outplayed.

The good news is, our AHL guys aren’t getting outplayed any worse than our NHL guys have been all season.

I have to leave for my hockey game in like 10 min. You know it is going to suck when the NHL game is almost over on a weeknight.

What’s next, NJ Devil gonna fall down the stairs?

OR

Does NJ Devil accompany Hynes to the doctor, returning the favor?

Sharp goaltending by Vatanen.

Hynes with a big bloodstain on his dress shirt. That’s hockey.

Gotta respect the effort. Much closer than it should have been.

All things considered, good effort by an AHL roster against a top team in the league. Blackwood had a nice game.

Just hope Mueller is ok. Hard to imagine that’s not at least a very bad concussion.

Ah well, it was a good effort.

And my God is Tkachuck a tool.  Jumped into the arms of their goalie while screaming like a girl.

Watching on sportsnet... they’re making it seem like they’ve beaten the capital in last years stanley cup finals. Relax you beat an ahl team.

By one goal.

Mueller injury aside (and I have no idea how a referee looks at that play and doesn't call a penalty), this was pretty much a perfect loss.  The team competed hard but was clearly overmatched, the kids looked okay, the defense played reasonably well, and Blackwood was great.  And they took home 0 points.  I'd like for Blake Coleman to stop taking so many penalties - he's got to be more disciplined with his stick.

No call was the right call. He fell because he lost his edge, which wasn’t Frolik’s doing.
