can't wait for draft day. I mean... we can all assume we'll grab Jack based on everything you see and hear...

but once you saw Some Kind of Wonderful and see Eric Stoltz go and turn down Lea Thompson for that short hair drummer tomboy girl.... you can never trust again

Lorraine McFly was one of the biggest goers in movie history. Was totally going to fvck her own future son.

I actually slow-danced with Lorraine McFly... like.... i physically slow-danced with her... which means i touched her and i'm not kidding.

Ha that’s pretty cool. Back to the Future is my fiancé’s favorite movie of all time (and I love it too). We were going to try and meet Christopher Lloyd at the last convention we went to but his line was crazy long.

Like the horror tattoos btw.

After watching Hughes vs Kakko videos, for me, its Hughes for sure. IMO, he is miles above Kakko and if size is a concern, then remember Parise.

You have to keep in mind Hughes is doing it vs his peers, or at least kids around his age. Kakko has scored at an amazing clip when considering age etc vs men.

Yes, but who’s going against the better competition? Most of the men in the Finnish league are playing there for a reason right? Whereas Hughes is going up against more actual NHL caliber prospects.

So does Shero draft Michael J. Fox or Eric Stoltz?  Or go way off the board and instead draft porn star Michael J. Cox?

Or does he choose between Lea Thompson or Mary Stuart Masterson?  So much riding on this draft...

She totally looks like she was into it! I can’t decide if it would be a better picture if she looks completely horrified, that would’ve been hysterical also.

The only thing I remember about Parsie is that he has not been as good, in neither regular nor post-season, since he left the Devils.

And I like that karma.  Especially the 7.5 million cap hit ..each and every year...until his contract ends in 2025..

so far, MIN has paid over $ 70 million for 444 Games Played with 167 G - 169 A = 336 points.

One concern that some of us had was how would Parise's body hold up as he aged, given his size and style of game?  Well, suffice it to say that he's dealt with a lot more injuries than he did with the Devils.  With the exception of 2010-11 (knee injury), he played in 81+ games in six out of seven Devils seasons.  He has yet to play more than 74 in any given season with the Wild.

What's kind of surprising is that his overall rate stats are pretty similar...of course, Zach's developmental rookie year throws off his Devils sample a little, but he averaged about 32 G and 35 A per 82 GP, with 3.38 SOG per game...with the Wild, it's 31 G and 31 A per 82 GP, with 3.29 SOG per game (he's gotten less ice time in each of the last three seasons, though it ticked upward again this past season).  It just feels like a more drastic dropoff because he missed more games now...also cooled off quite a bit as this past season went on (went through a dry spell of just 5 goals in 31 GP, though he had a brief surge to close out his season).

Of course, if you take out Zach's rookie year, then he averaged 35 G and 39 A per 82 GP as a Devil, with 3.72 SOG per game...so yeah, his overall Wild body of work feels like a more of a real dropoff compared to THOSE numbers.

On another note, the more I see Kaapo Kakko's name, the more I think of this Monty Python excerpt...for some reason this popped into my head yesterday:

Kaapo Kakko sounds like one of those weird foreign candy bars you see at the counter of a bodega in a very ethnic neighborhood.

Brilliant

one thing on my mind and its pretty minor but still there between kakko and Hughes. being from Finland, If Kakko comes here we won't have to really worry about anything connecting him to another team and a reason to leave (and he's not russian). Cause we all know we've been burned multiple times with that.

With Hughes well he has a brother in Vancouver.. he's from Florida. bla bla bla. Those teams will always be linked as a potential destination and distraction

That’s not something we have to worry about for 8 years.

Well, how bout Quinn Hughes comes here to play with his brother? Why is it always the other way around? So if you wanna look at it that way, Vancouver has the same ‘problem’ lol.
