While there were a lot of forwards, only a few defensemen though. After this, the other options are offer sheets and that could possibly be Marner and Meier.

Virtually the same stats but Kariya played 250 games less because of concussion issues (Scott Stevens). 

Not saying Patty shouldn’t be in, but Kariya was exactly a PPG player and he belongs in the Hall. 54 players have averaged a point per game in their career with a minimum of 500 points. Looks to me like most of them, save for the active guys and Jagr, are in the Hall. I only see one I know for sure is not.

Fair enough. We all know Elias could have put up even better numbers on a less defensive minded team though. Just like Stevens would have. But yes, a PPG is pretty impressive. I do think 2 Cups to Kariya’s 0 kind of closes the gap a bit, but it is what it is. 

And yeah, this year’s class blows.

I've been pretty lowkey lately, but I gotta say, I'm real excited for the next 2 weeks. Can't wait to see what Shero has up his sleeve. This next season looks real promising, with PK and a lot of young kids coming in, I have a feeling it'll be a whole lot of fun.
