There was more of a chance of that before last Saturday. If Watson does get hurt again that changes the equation but they have a pretty solid team with only Jacksonville and their own issues to compete with them. Daniel
So on Finheaven in the VIP section there's a poster who claims to have an in with the organization but is fairly reliable. Supposedly, the way the trade went down is that Houston went to the Dolphins asking about Tunsil, Dolphins had no interest and said they wanted 2 first and Clowney, thinking that would end it. Amazingly, Houston said yes, but Clowney wouldn't sign his tender to go to the Dolphins. So then the Dolphins say how about add Stills for a second and some roster players, apparently thinking all they would get was a fourth. Again they were shocked when Houston said yes, and we'll give you whatever roster player you want besides Watson, Hopkins, Watt and a few other players. That's how you take advantage of desperate team.
Daniel
Looks like tanking will be the first thing the Dolphins have done well since the start of the millenium.

'7'
Fitzpatrick I thought was a part of the future/solution down there. He's only in year two. Figure this might be someone who they may want to talk into staying
Daniel
I wonder if the Dolphins are looking to pry away the Giants' first rounder for Minkah. He's a local kid, high character and seems like someone Gettleman would value a lot.
MadDog2020
This pisses me off. Minkah is supposed to be a foundational piece. The coaching staff is alienating him because they can’t pick a position for him. This is a strike against Flores and the coaching staff.

The good news appears to be that Grier is going to drive bargain like they did with Tunsil. I mean something like Minkah and DVP to the Giants for their first rounder would be a homerun. Minkah’s a great player, but if you can put yourself in a position to draft Tua and Jeudy, that would be the ultimate. You’re right though that none of this reflects well on Flores. For the time being, it doesn’t matter so much. But it’s almost certain that Ross will resume the full court press on Harbaugh if Flores looks like another Cam Cameron. MadDog2020
Brian Flores is a hell of a football coach. I’m thrilled to have him. He gets the most out of his very limited talent. He’s the anti-John Hynes. Edited December 1, 2019 by MadDog2020

And we were saying it about Gase in his first year and at some point people were talking about Philbin as a coach of the year candidate.

This roster blows and he’s managed to win three games, and get a lot more out of Parker as Gesicki, among others. I’m not putting him in Canton or anything, but what we’ve seen is encouraging. Daniel
So @MadDog2020 do you take Tua with our first pick (looking like number 5) if a doctor says he expects him to make a full recovery?

Actually, if we would have won out and Giants lost out they would have picked 1st. Granted, they would have taken Young, but knowing the Bengals luck NY would have traded the pick to a QB needy team lol. I didn’t feel better until that FG went through.

Colorado Rockies 1976
Pats run officially over. Not really mad...it couldn’t go on forever. Maybe they somehow win their WC game, but this is the end.
MadDog2020
This is our best win in YEARS. I’m savoring this one. First win in Foxboro since 2008. What a job by Brian Flores and his coaching staff this season. They did us Dolphins fans proud today. Colorado Rockies 1976
It is MD2020...the QB that was such a huge part of all of this is finally showing his age. It’s so important to have that one constant that you just know you can rely on...in Brady’s case, he often had to overcome his team’s shortcomings (for a while it was the Swiss-cheese defenses that the Pats ran out there for a number of years). He can’t do it any more, especially with this current receiving corps. The D is pretty good now but they didn’t look so good against top teams, and came up minuscule during the Dolphins’ final possession.
Colorado Rockies 1976
Anyway, the AFC championship game should really be KC at Baltimore. Those are the best and most compelling teams in the AFC right now. They deserve to be there.
