The New Jersey Devils select D Nikita Okhotyuk with the 61st selection in the 2019 NHL Draft

Recommended Posts

No. 61 (second round) - D Nikita Okhotyuk, Ottawa 67s (OHL)

Okhotyuk is a big, physical defender, weighing in at 6-1 and 194 pounds. He’s not a big scorer, posting just 17 points in 56 regular-season games in 2018-19. The Devils’ prospect pool features several offensive, puck-moving defensemen, so Okhotyuk represents the other end of the spectrum. The Devils have tried to add those types of players to the blue line (thing Steven Santini, Dalton Prout, Eric Gryba), so the team clearly sees some value in them. That’s what Okhotyuk projects to be.

Probably, but wanna bet 5 bucks Dano resigns the day this guy joins the league as a Devil?

Honestly, that would require him to care about how he pronounces anyone’s name, and all appearances are that he does not lol.
