Quinn Hughes gets his first goal before Jack. What a rocket

took him 8 NHL games really and he's a year older. I'm sure Hughes will beat that

Its gonna be pretty cool when all 3 of them are in the league together.

Gary Thorne and Bill Clement were a good duo, but even if you didn't like them, as a Devils fan you have to be fond of it just for the nostalgia from the #2 Cup call alone...

I don't know I think Thorne is happy just being drunk doing the Orioles games.

I was very upset when he stopped doing our games. Of course, the Hall Of Famer who replaced him made it a little easier in time.

I can still hear Thorne calling “Save by Terreri” in his very distinctive voice.

From what i recall, i think a lot of people claim he had an anti-Devil bias during the the cup runs that he called. I never really noticed it myself or at least I don't remember since that was a lifetime ago

Thorn has a great pbp voice. It just always seemed like he didn't know anything about hockey beyond the basics.

Someone will reply that it doesnt matter what Kakko does vs what Hughes does

But also we all know chances are that the same person would have posted about Hughes getting his first point before Kakko did if that happened lol

Hughes ain't the problem.

We're getting blasted from all fronts - best to just ignore the noise at this point for our own sanity.

Exactly. We suck right now. That’s all I care about. If Hughes gets hot and wins the Calder, great, but if the team isn’t winning who cares?

Also, all we heard is how much more NHL ready Kakko was anyway. The fact that Hughes looks like he belongs is good enough for me atm.

I'd feel worse about this if Kakko had a bunch of goals by now.  I'm more worried that Hynes and his staff will ruin Hughes for the long run.

More like, it doesn't matter that Kakko scored a goal. We don't know anything about how this season is going to unfold yet. For all we know Kakko doesn't score for another 10 games and Jack has ten points over that period. Or...it could be the opposite.

What I do know is that Jack has looked better and better every time he's been out there. Last game he was good enough to get on the scoresheet even though he didn't. So...it's not like we need to be worried he won't ever get any points.
