I am officially going to put the "Almost" meme on hold for an extended period of time and instead will spend my time looking for the positives in Pavel's game that a lot of people seem to see. Its a new look roster, and its time for me to take a new perspective. How many games will it last? I don't know. Just picked up one of the old 90's home white Starter jerseys made in Korea for $10 at a yard sale (the ones with the starter logo and the Eastern Conference logo on the hem). I honestly don't have any idea what the hell I ever did with it...I kinda remember taking it to a dry cleaner and the logo shriveling, or something like that. I had one of those Albany River Rat community jerseys (the black ones, the one that Albany wanted to wear on the ice before Lou squashed it...they wound up wearing them for community events only)...I had Ahonen's jersey. I toyed with the idea of getting the Rats logo and Ahonen's name and number stripped off, and making it a unique Devils jersey...but I never liked the way that the Ahonen jersey fit. 60G goalie cuts basically means the arms fit like batwings. I think I have mentioned this before, but when the Devils announced their color change, before we saw the jerseys, that Rats community jersey was EXACTLY what I drew out, except my logo didn't have the circle anymore, just the traditional NJ in red. I had one, then with the passage of time it was no longer my size, and I managed to replace it on eBay with a larger one. I made a deal with DM84 to buy one of his GWs off him, and I threw in the Ahonen because I knew it was never going to leave my closet, and I figured that either he'd want it for himself, or be a little more "dialed in", as to knowing people who might actually want to buy it. Looking back, I wish I'd just gotten a "normal" jersey...the one I wanted first was Skrlac, but it was too pricey for me at the time...then I wanted Nittel, but I think he was taken. Not sure why I chose Ahonen.
