Won’t be tuning in, but I have a good reason. Tonight is my wife and my third anniversary. Our third year of marriage was a disaster; after visiting her brother in the ICU for two weeks stemming from a terrible drunk driving accident (he was not the drunk one), she contracted a nasty disease from the hospital. Three attempts at surgery were unsuccessful, so she was moved to a specialist.

she’s spent the better part of this entire year in a hospital room or an operating room. 19 surgeries in total. It bankrupt her, it took our nest egg that we were ready to turn into a house and used it on medical bills and in-home nurse care. It was agony for her, agony for us.

she’s been free and healthy for just a few weeks now. She will always have challenges: childbirth isn’t in the cards for us, any more. But she is home. And tonight we get to celebrate with a gallon sized bottle of wine and a candle-lit dinner.

its very private for her, around here. She doesn’t want her friends to know what she’s been through. But while she’s finishing putting on her makeup before dinner I wanted to tell someone. Anyone.

so I told this weirdly lovable group of absolute pricks that have played a big part in my life for the past decade.

Hug the people you love tonight extra hard.

Have a great night with your wife MB.

Glad your wife is better - couldn't ask for a better Thanksgiving than that.  Hopefully you guys enjoy your time tonight together.  We'll be here cheering on these idiots for you, and we'll welcome you back if and when you're ready.  For now, do what matters.

When you see Domingue skating around during the break with his mask off, the look on his face is like "How the hell did this happen?  I can't believe I'm playing on this fvcking team, compared to what I had last year"

because the other guy is not clearly better??

Yeah, I was actually OK with playing Domingue tonight.  No reason to have Blackwood have that previous 7-2 shellacking in the back of his head.

If that pass back went into the net that would pretty much sum up our season

Was thinking the same thing lol

Jesus bro, anyone one of those incidents is enough to bring someone down. Hoping for a a better road ahead for her and her brother (and you).

Well assuming this is a loss I can't see why Hynes would survive this after surviving last game. You can't lose the way we did last game and come out and leave the best scorer on the other team wide open in the opening minutes.

Cause Ray wont make the change with another game tomorrow night, none of us are that lucky.

Then again, he didn't make the necessary change with a 5 day layoff so the hell do I know what he's thinking?
