What was he even bitching about?

Complaining about the penalty, guy kind of stepped on the stick, not sure what he could’ve done to avoid that. I just hate Foligno so watching him melt down was pretty cool.

It is, but half our team can’t even grow one. Lol

Valid point. But it’s also 2020, nobody under age 50 should have a mustache.

What a ridiculous embellishment by Rielly to draw that PP in overtime.

Pretty much lol.

Quinn Hughes looks great.

Yeah, he’s really impressive. I wonder how much a year of college would have helped Jack? Not saying it would have guaranteed us a Calder candidate, but Vancouver really handled Pettersson and Hughes well by not rushing either of them right into the NHL.

Three first round picks and a lot of teams in cap hell come the summer... could be hunting season

EDIT - fvck you COVID, it’s so ingrained in me to write “summer” when it comes to free agency that I put it in there. You know what? It’s staying lol. If people can abuse Christmas in July, I can use Summer in October. Or something

Oh man, if they get bounced in the play-in round, its going to be fun as hell watching them play Cap gymnastics considering going into the offseason, they'll have only 16 players under contract and only ~$5mil in cap space.

Clarkson and Nathan Horton come off the books after this season.  Ceci & Tyson Barrie is only about 7 mil combined. I'm not sure of any of those "dead contracts" are out there for them to cheat. Ryan Calahan and  Clarke Macarther comes off this year for Sens.  I though they would've addressed this in the new CBA.  (allowing teams to do an "end around" is not "in the spirit" of CBA. (quoting Bettman from Kovy contract punishment)

I think he absolutely needed a year of development and this thing that exists where all #1 OA picks have to be rushed right to the NHL Is a detriment to some players.

I still think Zacha, despite his time in Sarnia, would’ve benefitted from a year in the AHL. And he was not a #1 OA.

I’d have said the same about Nico as well, as I think he would have had a very disappointing rookie year if not for Hall. That being the situation he was placed in, I don’t think it was the wrong call.

But Jack coming to the NHL to skate fast, get knocked off the puck, and have hardly anyone worth passing to? Wasn’t really necessary in my opinion.

I’m using CapFriendly so I could absolutely be reading it wrong, but I’m seeing just $4.5 in space and that’s without Barrie/Ceci/a handful of RFAs.

I’m guessing they part with Barrie, but if they let Ceci go I’d take him here. Hell either of them.

And it would have prevented the very awkward situation he was put into of living with a guy who got demoted to the AHL...

Yeah how did that work exactly? Was Jack still there hanging with Cory’s family while he was off playing??
