This is such a ridiculous and unfair take. Guy won an MVP (and 2 Memorial Cups). Are McDavid and Matthews also losers due to lack of playoff success? Was Ovi all those years? Hall is one of the best LW in the game. It will be very interesting to see where he ends up in FA, but if he goes to an actual contender like Colorado I think the “loser” narrative will be over very quickly.

Hall was great a couple years ago. He seems to be on the decline. I think I said we should've offered him 10x7. Glad we didn't. He screwed himself out of his big pay day. If he wants to win a cup he's gonna have to take a hefty discount.

Actually Colorado could easily afford to pay him. Only NJ, LA, and OTT currently have more cap space. If the Avs make a deep run but come up short it could make sense for both sides.

Feels like it should, but man was this year not a great one for Taylor...on the surface, two teams didn't benefit much from him being in their lineups (both teams put up better records without him), and this year was pretty meh for him overall, especially for a contract year.

And in general except for one big-time outlier season that blows up his numbers a bit, that kinda sums up what Hall's been for much of his Age 23-28 seasons (especially given expectations)...that, and in two of those seasons he missed a lot of games.  If a team is willing to sign him based on realistic expectations (say 55-75 GP and about .70-.80 points per game) and isn't expecting a repeat of 2017-18, then maybe they'll OK overpaying for what Hall brings.

Nobody would have overpaid him more than we would have after 2017-18. He definitely missed a big opportunity there, at least money wise.

No doubt.

What game is that?  Looks like some of the textures got seriously garbled.

If Philly closes out Montreal tonight that means we'll have Islanders vs Flyers next with one of them making the conference finals. Yuck.

If that does occur...just curious, is there anyone here who would root for the Flyers over the Islanders?  If so, I would definitely like to know why.

hall will forever be a loser. he has the stink that will carry on with him.

our boy Greene sniffin the 2nd rd for the first time since 2012!

I wouldn’t call Hall a loser, but it’s definitely not unfair to wonder if he’s overrated.

Hall has gotta be kicking himself for not cashing in right after 2018. Hindsight is 20/20 obviously, but he could be sitting pretty with a 7 or 8 year deal at over $100 million. He’s not gonna get anything close to that now. We actually may have dodged a bullet.

I got into the alpha and decided not to buy it on release. It looks nice but with no study level aircraft, and even the default airliners not being finished, it isn't worth it right now.

You cant even fly basic IFR.

I would, I hate both but the Islanders fans have been way more horrid and obnoxious at our building the last few years. I want nothing to do with more of them coming out of the wood work and bouncing on that bandwagon. They have become just like the horrid Rangers fans except in just a different color blue. I would then want to Flyers to be bounced out in the next round though.

I don't want Lou to have Cup success anywhere else, so I too would root for the Flyers.

That’s where I am with this now.  I’ve said it before, but I think within three seasons, we would’ve been bitching about Hall not living up to his deal.

Don’t forget though that he wasn’t eligible to sign an extension until the following year, where he played in just 33 games.  If he had, say, played in 75+ games and finished at about a point-per-game pace, Ray probably at least makes him a solid concrete offer.  That injury came at the worst possible time for Hall.

I think the GA aircraft are more complete, but the airliners are barely functional unless you want to hand fly them. I've seen some crazy videos of the 787 and A320 autopilots going crazy and not all the VORs, NDBs, SIDS and STARS are working properly in the FMS.

I wouldn’t root for either, but I would fall short of rooting that their buses collide.
