Salavat Yulaev head coach Lämsä shares his thoughts on pick Shakir Mukhamadullin

You WERE a legend. You are now a DISGRACE. shame. shame.

Perry was quite the prolific goal-scorer in his 20s...averaged 31 G per 82 GP from Age 22-24, and then 40 G per 82 GP from Age 25-30 (including a couple of early development years, he put up 330 G in 804 GP over his first 11 seasons).

His dropoff has been quite dramatic...just 47 G in his last 214 GP, and of course is now playing for pennies in his upcoming Age 35 season.  Hard to believe he probably won't crack 400 goals for his career (currently at 377).

His production dropped off a bit beforehand going from 34 goals in 15-16 to 19 goals & 17 goals in 16-17 & 17-18 but after that season the torn meniscus and MCL injury that he had to get surgery on made him lose a lot of the speed that he use to have and ruined any chance for him to get back to what he use to be.

He still had 5 goals for the Stars in the playoffs this year though, some pretty big ones too but he basically reinvented himself to become a "garbage" goal scorer now cause he was standing in the crease for most of them...

Yeah my 47 G in 214 GP included the 15-16 and 16-17 seasons.  Those seasons were at least respectable (though clearly not near what people were used to seeing from Perry), but yeah, in the last two, just 11 goals in 88 regular season games.  Tri once posted about players who start very young can often decline on the younger side too (think Scott Gomez, who was pretty steady through his first 10 seasons, and cracked the NHL at 19...and pretty much dropped off a cliff for most of the rest of his career, in his 30s).

And yeah, tough when the wrong type of injury relegates a player to "in name only" status.  Perry won't ever be Perry again.

Toews out indefinitely, they aren't sure what's wrong with him, hope he gets better soon...

Something strange about not feeling right this off season and still trying to figure it out.  Hopefully they do have it figured out and they are dealing with it whatever it is. This could lead one to believe it's not something common like mono, covid. etc  Hopefully not another serious heart issue.

And Dach is supposed to be out 4-5 months with that wrist injury. Things not looking good for the Hawks.

They are in a very tough division too. The Central division is brutal right now. I hate being the worst team in our division right now... but at least we're not Detroit lol

They only won like... 7 games last season... and now with the re-alignment... they'll have to play all year against Tampa and Dallas... who were in the cup finals months ago. Colombus, nashville and florida... and chicago who is trending down at least.

Martin and Greene make sense. And I suppose Schneider does if he's your taxi squad goalie. But any serious injury to Sorokin or Varlamov and you could be playing with fire

They are obligated to keep him on the roster so he can shut out the Devils at least once.

That's true. At least one 40+ save shutout is probably a guarantee.

Then again the last couple of years that was pretty probable most games.

Nolan is a hard kid to not root for.  Has said all the right stuff, has dealt with some freak injuries... don't want to see the Flyers get any better but it'd be nice to see him get back on the ice.

Hope he at least manages to get to that next bridge contract or something.  Get a couple million his pocket.

It’s easy to not root for him because of his team.

Agreed. Hopefully he’s able to play, but sucks when he does.
