Devs3cups
It's a follow through from a shot/pass. Even though it sucks, that's not a penalty.

You have to control your stick no matter what. Actually, it isn't. When it is a shot or pass follow through that results in a high stick, it's not a penalty. 60.1 High-sticking - A “high stick” is one which is carried above the height of the opponent’s shoulders. Players and goalkeepers must be in control and responsible for their stick. However, a player is permitted accidental contact on an opponent if the act is committed as a normal windup or follow through of a shooting motion. A wild swing at a bouncing puck would not be considered a normal windup or follow through and any contact to an opponent above the height of the shoulders shall be penalized accordingly. Accidental contact on a pass or follow through is not high sticking.

I could be wrong, but I believe it is a penalty - I'm pretty sure the rule is you have to be "in control of your stick", whether it's skating around the ice without the puck, or even the follow-through from a shot. Devs3cups
Yeah, 4 goals allowed on 17 shots isn't gonna cut it. Goals 2 and 4 were pretty avoidable. 2 mistakes by Zajac imo. The Dahlin goal Merkley got owned. Other than that, I though the Bratt/Zacha/Wood line played really well, as well as the Kuok/Hughes/Sharangovich line. On to the next one. I feel like I’ve seen that exact call made on follow throughs. There’s way too much grey area that the way its written. So it’s basically up to the official on the ice. Stupid. Wasn't the Buffalo player attempting to rifle the puck out of the zone? I thought he was behind his own net, so essentially that wouldn't (or shouldn't) be considered a shot or a follow-through from a shot on goal. On the case here, you can clearly see the referee signaling that it was a follow through right after the play happened.

Devils Pride 26
Thompson comes in and skates like he’s shot out of a cannon. Take fvcking notes. THIS TEAM CONTINUES TO HAVE ZERO IDENTITY. Wedgewood stinks the second goal was a joke. If you’re sitting here mad at the refs, you’re missing the point. The forecheck is nonexistent. Players take angles and rotations that would get you sat in a jv game. We can’t complete a 10 ft breakout pass. Wedgewood is sliding wide of a soccer net on goal 2. Time to stop with the friendly grandpa sh!t Lindy and get after this team. No accountability. You’re either coaching it, or allowing it to happen.
