Yeah, 4 goals allowed on 17 shoots isn't gonna cut it.

Goals 2 and 4 were pretty avoidable. 2 mistakes by Zajac imo. The Dahlin goal Merkley got owned.

Other than that, I though the Bratt/Zacha/Wood line played really well, as well as the Kuok/Hughes/Sharangovich line.

On to the next one.

Did I also hear Cangi correctly, that was our SEVENTH game in a row allowing FIVE or more goals in regulation?!?!  That is....fvcking horrendous.  I'm usually the guy who doesn't want to fire people after less than a season , but this is just downright awful.  Someone has to be responsible because this organization, we've said it before, is getting too comfortable with losing.  It's become commonplace for us to set records....the wrong records.

It happens sometimes. On the case here, you can clearly see the referee signaling that it was a follow through right after the play happened.

Anyway, I’m not blaming the loss on one missed call. Another night of atrocious power plays though...Thanks Recchi.

I’d just like to see if what I saw matches the chart.

What did you see? I thought his line looked quite good.

Meh, I like how Ruff has handled the young guys this year. We're an extremely young team that is going to make mistakes. Unfortunately we're seeing lots of mistakes from our vets.

I feel like if Blackwood was in today we win this game. They only allowed 17 shots on goal for crying out loud.

At least the offense showed up.

Idk we held Washington to only 19 shots and they still scored 5 goals on Blackwood. Teams bury their chances against us so fvcking easy, whereas it feels like we have to work incredibly hard to score our goals.

Yeah I do feel Blackwood picked it up lately though. Anyways, it's not like Wedgewood has been atrocious in his stars this year. It is what it is.

I saw like 5 shots between the three of them and no points.

6 SOG actually, and just saying they had no points doesn’t really articulate how you thought they looked very well.

Fire the PP coach then (yeah, I know they scored a PP goal tonight), or fire one of the assistant coaches.  Fire the guy who refills the water bottles.  I dunno, just do something.  I can't stand this complacency.  I feel like we've been "an extremely young team" for the last 5 years...at some point you just can't make excuses anymore.  This game tonight I feel was what's been wrong with this team for the last decade, which is, essentially, EVERYTHING.  Not one thing in particular, but enough random little things to make it a BIG THING which ultimately results in a LOSS.

Tonight this team managed to keep their opponent under 20 shots on goal....GREAT, right??  They also managed to score a Powerplay goal tonight after being terrible on it all season... GREAT as well, right??   A rookie who joins the team in the very first game of his NHL career manages to get a point on the first goal of the game.... GREAT again, right?! It's all coming together and you know the night is gonna be magical, right?? WRONG.  fvckING L.  AGAIN.  In the dying seconds of the game, on a goal that came on the penalty kill because Sami Vatanen took a stupid penalty in the offensive zone and, yes, we killed that one, but then, as luck would have it, Sharangovich takes one a few minutes later, and you just KNEW we weren't gonna be able to escape another late penalty killed in the dying minutes of the third.  Lather.  Rinse.  REPEAT.

Is it the fvcking sweater that these guys put on?  Does being a New Jersey Devil mean sh!t now?! It certainly seems like it.  Burn the fvcking locker room tonight and all the equipment in it.  Get new Adidas jerseys from the factory because the ones the guys put on tonight are fvcking jinxed.  Either that or these guys just fvcking suck ass and bring up the entire Binghamton squad.

I estimated “like 5”, does 6 make me wrong?

I thought Jack disappeared for large sections of the game and that Sharangovich and Kuokkanen tend to look good when together no matter who is centering them.

I get the lack of points is frustrating, I really do, but he’s hardly ever “invisible” or “disappears.” It could be worse, he could be not scoring and looking like total ass every night.

Somebody buy that kid a Johnsson jersey lol.

In a few decades they'll have the Jack Hughes Award going to the player creating the most but not actually showing on the scoresheet.

If Pavel Zacha almost wins it, my life will be complete.

This was Zacha a few years ago, and now he’s leading the team in scoring. Jack at 23 is going to be a force.

Johnsson is battling Vatanen for my biggest bum award.

I don’t think that’s a contest. Johnsson has been doing nothing, but what Vatanen has been doing is worse than doing nothing.

Disregard what I said about Johnson’s last 20, my vision sucks at night in the dark.
