"Duggan, 33, recently retired from professional ice hockey in October of last year and is one of the most successful players in international hockey history. The native of Danvers, MA has won eleven medals (eight gold and three silver) for Team USA in international play. In the Olympic Winter Games, Duggan captured three medals: winning silver in 2010 at Vancouver and 2014 in Sochi (where she served as captain), and triumphantly captured gold in a 2018 rematch with Canada at PyeongChang (where she was once again captain). In eight IIHF Women's World Championships, she was part of seven World Championship squads (2008-09, 2011, 2013, 2015-17) and finished runner up once (2007). Her illustrious career led to her being named to the USA Hockey Board of Directors in 2014 and USA Hockey's Women's Advisory Committee in 2017.

The former forward played collegiately at Wisconsin (WCHA) from 2006-2011 where she won the Patty Kazmaier Award, presented annually to the top women's NCAA ice hockey player in her senior season. Duggan finished her career as the Badgers' all-time leading scorer."

Can she take Johnsson's spot?

Sharangovich's behaviour in today's world cup game Belarus vs. Slovakia was a shame. Someone should explain him what it means to represent the values of a Devil. The Devils organisation should raise this child better and teach him not to show the middle finger to the opponent's bench.

Cordell can’t be taken seriously. This is the same guy who thinks Zacha was a liability this year. I’m sick of this ‘don’t believe what your eyes tell you’ bullsh!t.

Richard Pryor had a wonderful skit with the same sort of idea: who are you gonna believe baby?  Me or your lying eyes?

According to Swiss people, we have a verbal agreement to bring back Siegenthaler.

Also according to the guys who have holes in their cheese, Gilles Senn will sign over there, and apparently ending his time with our organization.

I thought Siegenthaler had another year anyway. Good idea not to lose him for nothing.

I thought Senn would stick around, but there are a lot of young guys coming in at his position , and maybe this year has been tough being away from home.

IIRC, we need Siegenthaler because without him we don't have enough D-men to protect in the expansion draft.  I cannot imagine he is being kept on due to his play.  I thought he was extremely meh in his few games here.

Well we could go get a better one and then protect that guy, that might be a good plan...

All teams know each other's situation with the expansion draft.  I wouldn't doubt he was the best option with the smallest price possible.

He's a RFA after this season. He does fit the meh, not going to make the team any better criteria. Extend him. Cut from the let's settle for him mold. It's a slam dunk.

I feel like “Fit the Meh” could be our team’s motto next year.
