benny! it's a pretty common phrase along the jersey shore; it stands for Bayonne, Elizabeth, Newark and New York people who flood the jersey shore all summer.

My amazing, wonderful, docile grandmother flies a "BGH" (Benny Go Home) flag outside of her house in the summer.

Spent quite a bit of time on the shore as a kid. I was or was not a Benny, depending on who you asked. Some accepted me as their own lol.

They flock to Round Valley and Spruce Run in Hunterdon County as well.  When we first moved to the area, we went to Spruce Run…suffice it to say that we didn’t exactly fit in…at times it felt like we were the only ones not speaking Spanish.  We never went back, though my wife sometimes went to Round Valley or Spruce Run during the week, when it would be a little less crazy.  The worst thing is that the families tend to be large with lots of very young children, so we when went to Spruce Run, every 10 mins or so the swimming area had to be cleared due to some kid’s whereabouts being in question (they were found within 5-10 mins, but obviously gets to be annoying after awhile…WATCH YOUR DAMN KIDS!!!)

In the NHL, it is not what you do but who you know to get a refereeing job.  AHL has overall better refs because you have to earn your way up to get to that level.

This is true? I never heard or read this. This isn't very good, if true.

Yup, another classic. We also have a lot of “why did I hear a helicopter” or “that plane was very low”. We’re in the flight pattern for Newark Airport.

Dude! Okay so true story time: the Blue Angels were up in Buffalo last weekend for an airshow(a bunch of friends on Facebook were posting pictures). Sunday rolls around and one post catches my eye. The person was "recovering from the shock of their life" when a jet "made a low pass to a deafening roar" that caused them trauma similar to that they felt on 9/11.... from Buffalo.... They closed this wonderful post out with "I feel terrible for anyone who has to live where this is a daily occurrence, such machines should not exist."

Big F-you to Orville and Wilbur Wright, ladies and gentlemen.

Nasty dirty hockey.. love it... I wonder if we could play in a game like this

We're probably one of the softest teams in the league right now.

So, doubtful.
