SterioDesign
It was pretty good. I really but really don't like Bella Ramsey as Ellie though. I know Maisie Williams and Kaitlyn Dever both auditioned for the role and they both look a lot more like the Ellie we know and they are both fantastic actresses that would have been amazing in the role i'm sure. Who cares? They literally changed Joel’s race and nobody is saying a word about that lol. The showrunner who made this also made Chernobyl - which is easily one the best miniseries ever made. I’m sure they casted the actress they felt was the most right for the part, not just the one that looked the most like her digital counterpart. Well i care since i brought it up lol And you're really not paying attention if you think nobody said a word about Pedro Pascal as Joel lol There was a whole backlash about his beard. There was a HUGE backlash when both casting were announced. Not saying they were right or wrong. But to say nobody said anything about it is pretty ignorant I don't mind Pedro as Joel even if he doesn't look that much like what we know cause i love that actor a lot and know he can deliver an amazing performance. I never liked Bella in any of her roles that i've seen. She's like kristen stewart, she has like one expression on her face and that's about all she has to offer. And i cheered when she was killed in Game of Thrones lol And i loved Maisie Williams in everything i've seen her in and Kaitlyn was great in Booksmart. So it's not just about the look, but if you're gonna cast someone that doesn't look the part at least make sure she's going to deliver one hell of a performance and from what i've seen from that actress i don't see it. i straight up prefer the other 2 actresses by a mile. I never watched Twilight and watched all those movies except Spencer lol. I LOVED Underwater. And i do like Robert Pattinson. I like Kristin Stewart in some parts but she still doesn't have a huge range in her facial expressions. She can't deliver nuances like many good actors with just her face/expression (actually Pedro Pascal is a good example) I mean, i'm a huge fan of Arnold and Van Damme and it's not like they are fantastic actors either, what they do just... work for the roles they play but i'd never say that they are very well rounded actors lol Arnold was an amazing T-800 precisely cause it worked with his stiff acting at the time haha I just dont like Bella at all. If you like her well good. Edited January 16 by SterioDesign

Thought she was excellent in Spencer. Funny, in Panic Room I initially wasn't sure if she was a boy or a girl...she was quite androgynous when she was younger. Satans Hockey
The other day a plastic decoration helicopter fell the other day above a kids slide area. They were so lucky that it didn't hit anyone there jut 4 other people were apparently hurt and thankfully not too bad. Now apparently the building the water park is in now is deemed unsafe. Just crazy, this place really does seem cursed. I wish I went before this news lol Wonder how long it takes to even fix a building of that size when it's deemed an unfit structure and how it's even done... https://pix11.com/news/local-news/new-jersey/nj-officials-probe-safety-of-water-park-at-american-dream-after-decorative-helicopter-fall-report/

Colorado Rockies 1976
BTW saw the Avatar sequel last night. Visually it’s amazing. And it’s easily about an hour too long, with a lot of iffy dialogue. It’s a classic “More Is More” movie.
Nicomo
Forgot all about this thread. We saw Scream VI last weekend and I absolutely loved it. Easily one of the stronger horror franchises still going. Also finished The Last of Us series last week. So damn good. My only complaint is it felt just a tad rushed at times. Could have definitely used another episode or two. Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey were both fantastic throughout.
Crisis
I went to the Jets @ Preds game this weekend in Nashville and scored some absolutely killer seats from a friend. Excluding maybe sneaking down a few 3rd periods at the Rock, I had never sat this close before. Also came with free food and booze. It was a great time, especially since it was a 1 o'clock game and we just walked out onto Broadway after. Here are some shots I took to show my boys. The longer video shows Brandon Dillon eating a puck on the penalty kill. It's incredible how much more painful it looks when you sit this close. Didn't really care who won but it was cool seeing the Jets score the OT goal on our side. Edit: Not sure why the action video isn't loading. Maybe because it's too big. I'll see if I can pare it down later and re upload it. Snapchat-1633619621.mp4 Edited March 21 by Crisis 3

Satans Hockey
I only support 2 club teams, the Devils and the Red Bulls, the Red Bulls have been the better of the two the past decade, 3 supporters shield wins(equivalent to the presidents trophy) made it to the US open cup final(similar to the fa cup in England or if it was nhl vs ahl vs echl vs other pro league teams in one big tournament) They always bomb out in the playoffs and had several missed opportunities to win an MLS cup or Open Cup trophy. We finally get our Devils back to some glory and my Red Bulls went and became a complete embarrassment last week with a racial slur that was said by our newest big name signing in his first actual start of the season. Then the coach doesn't even sub him off. The game was delayed 21 mins because of this. Our fan base and now team has never been so low. Some fans think it's no big deal because we don't know exactly what was said or if something was lost in translation because the new guy Dante Vanzeir just came over from Belgium. Personally I have zero tolerance for this stuff, I want Dante and the coach both gone. They embarrassed my team and they don't deserve to be here. The league promotes zero tolerance but gave Dante a 6 game suspension and the coach absolutely nothing. I am very happy that our 3 supporters groups, I am part of 1, all voted on doing a walkout protest of tonight's game. It's something that has never happened during my time as a fan of this team and I've been a fan for a very long time. Just a rant but wanted to yap about it. Very happy to have the Devils in the playoffs and even if they let us down vs the Rangers at least we can still be proud of our team and our guys. Video of the incident and an article about the protest... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11974555/New-York-Red-Bulls-supporters-group-Viking-Army-plans-stage-WALKOUT-match-vs-Houston.html Edited April 15 by Satans Hockey

'While I did not intend to cause any harm or offense with my language.... Idk if I am following correctly but it sounds like he said something that must have been reprehensible yet claims he also didn't intend his "language" to come off that way? That apology isn't really taking responsibility, but I also don't know how he can plead ignorance over what he said if it was straight up as bad as it appears. Also, I agree with the article, that's not zero tolerance. Is he good? Why are they protecting him?

He apparently explained that it wasn't directed at anyone. I don't know if that means it was something lost in translation but with how the San Jose players reacted to hearing it you can tell it was obviously a vulgar word of some nature. This explains the whole situation in more detail... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11953533/NY-Red-Bulls-1-1-San-Jose-Earthquakes-Hosts-secure-late-equalizer-21-MINUTES-added-time.html And in terms of being good or protecting him I assume it's the union protecting the player and he's barely played here so I really don't have a comment on if he's good or not. He was a sub for a bunch of games, scored 1 goal and this was his first official start.

Nicomo
3 minutes ago, pumpkin cutter said: anyone have or know of someone who had lasik? I am tired of paying 1k a year for my eyeballs. Both my best friend and my dad’s gf have had it. They both seem to be very happy with it overall. The only thing I’ve ever heard my friend mention as any sort of negative is he said he gets a little bit of a “halo effect” off certain lights at night. I’m really, really considering it myself at this point. I started wearing glasses in my early thirties (I’m now 40) and I never really minded them that much tbh, but anymore I’m pretty sick of them. The fogging up in the summer, the switching from sunglasses to regular glasses to go inside (no I would never wear transitions), etc. I have to ask though, why in the world are you paying 1k a year on your eyes?? I have really basic eye insurance through work and it covers a visit to the eye Dr every year and like $130 towards a new pair of glasses annually. I usually just have to end up paying the difference on whatever pair I pick out. And that’s if I actually get new ones every year, which I definitely don’t. I’m guessing you have something pretty serious going on with yours?
