The only thing I’ve ever heard my friend mention as any sort of negative is he said he gets a little bit of a “halo effect” off certain lights at night. I’m really, really considering it myself at this point. I started wearing glasses in my early thirties (I’m now 40) and I never really minded them that much tbh, but anymore I’m pretty sick of them. The fogging up in the summer, the switching from sunglasses to regular glasses to go inside (no I would never wear transitions), etc. I have to ask though, why in the world are you paying 1k a year on your eyes?? I have really basic eye insurance through work and it covers a visit to the eye Dr every year and like $130 towards a new pair of glasses annually. I usually just have to end up paying the difference on whatever pair I pick out. And that’s if I actually get new ones every year, which I definitely don’t. I’m guessing you have something pretty serious going on with yours? I don't even have eye insurance and I don't pay remotely anywhere near 1k a year and I have contacts. A year supply of contacts, plus a new pair of glasses and all the eye tests and check ups was like $400-500 for me cause I get a rebate for buying a full year's worth of contacts but this is the first pair of glasses I've gotten in like 5 years. I never buy a new pair every year unless your prescription drastically changes there's no reason to. I only wear glasses around the house and contacts when I go out and I'm so use to it at this point that it doesn't phase me. Swimming/water parks are the only time I ever get actually annoyed by it. I have no interest in lasic because of the horror stories. Even with the low chance of it happening aren't worth even the remote chance of risk to me. It's definitely an absolute game changer and it beats getting a surgery done for me. Cost wise Lasik is cheaper in the long run but would still take 15+ years to be cheaper than contacts for me. If you're on the fence about Lasik do not look up the horror stories. When I was originally debating it I looked into it and even the slight risk of it was enough to me to not bother. Even though vision wise I need help to see my eyes are still healthy and I'm just not interested in doing surgery on them unless I had no choice. Vision is way too important to fvck around with for me.

Mine are monthly and are always around $200-300 for the entire years supply and then the company gives me a gift card rebate for buying a years supply that ranges from $50-

I'm more central area but I usually buy online cause sometimes it's cheaper than what they offer. You should just shop around a bit, I switch places a few times cause I end up not liking that they switch eye doctors a lot.

Ah yeah that sucks, I'd definitely talk to them about wearing a different brand. I had to switch around a bit brand wise until I landed on Cooper Vision and I've been good for over a decade now. Crisis
I ran into the Devils tattoo guy Saturday night at the Finch concert @ Le Poisson Rouge in the Village. Super fvcking nice guy. We talked for a while after the show as well. If I ever decide to get a tattoo, it's definitely going to be from him haha. Btw, I am absolutely hammajamma'd in this photo. Been loving the emo/screamo anniversary shows that have been happening recently. This was the 20th anniversary of What It Is To Burn being released. Turns out he and I were also both at the 10 year anniversary show at Irving Plaza. 4

Pretty sure it's the following year. One year left with Adidas. Or as I see it, (hopefully) the end of the floaties. Fingers crossed for a "As we return to our winning ways, it's time to return to our winning LOOK..." announcement by the start of next season. And please Devils, no more "Let's show how clever we can be by shoehorning in as many Easter eggs as we possibly can!" crap. No one cares.

I've worn glasses since I was a kid, always wanted contacts but getting them in and out is a complete trauma for me. I just gave up - and I'm not a squeamish person by nature. But that? Hell no. 😆
